Pot smokers are used to hiding their activity, usually with the rain cup. Cigarette smokers usually use the open hold which lets everybody see.

Myth #3: Marijuana = Alcohol Legalization advocates link marijuana and alcohol as equally mild intoxicants, suggesting that they deserve equal treatment under the law. However, as the above research suggests, marijuana is more dangerous to the health and safety of society. This is nonsense... Alcohol can cause greater physical harm for example to the liver.

In 2011, Gallup reported that 62% of 18-29 year olds and 50% of the general public supports the legalization of marijuana;
no wonder food prices went up....

Do you just skim by the many articles that show how these pot shops have created more crimes in the areas they are located? Do you just skim by the absence of evidence that crimes have been created rather than simply relocated?

Are you so clueless as to predict disaster and not see that crime is down over the period that California defacto legalized it?
Neighbor complaints are anecdotal not evidence that crime is up due to pot shops.
Crime is down in California over the same time period that defacto legalization happened.
But some neighbors made complaints!!!!!
Delusional!

Not if...the States and Feds try and tax it way too much.
From the article....they said CA even suggested a $50 per ounce tax. Of course it's CA...and they are dumb and crazy.
If that were the case though.....I could see growers still growing.

Crowd interaction has died down a lot too. I miss the old days of hazy crowds of dancing girls.

I have seen the damage that pot usage can and does cause.... it is not pretty... having said that, the penalties for simple possession are far more damaging to the indivudual than the drug itself.....and this does not take into account swat team raids resulting in death.... legalization, no.... decriminalization, yes..

The fact that some looney tunes nutjobs agree with me, doesn't disprove anything I said.
Hey, I bet they also agree with me that murder is wrong. Does that negate my assertion????

Tobacco and alcohol have caused more deaths in one day in this country than cannabis has caused globally from the dinosaurs to the present.
This article is "Reefer Madness" buttwipe and the insinuation that a person is liberal because of cannabis use is the big brown hashmark down the middle of it.

there ARE pills!
it is just the pot heads trying to create an excuse to use pot recreationally.
there is no need to smoke it instead of a less cancerous pill form.

It is beyond belief that there are so many liberals here at FR who want to legalize this. Liberals are not on FR. Those advocating legalization are most likely constitutionalists or libertarians

“Delusional!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You certainly are.
From that Heritage Foundation article....
Amsterdams experience is already being duplicated in California under the current medical marijuana statute. In Los Angeles, police report that areas surrounding cannabis clubs have experienced a 200 percent increase in robberies, a 52.2 percent increase in burglaries, a 57.1 percent increase in aggravated assault, and a 130.8 percent increase in burglaries from automobiles. Current law requires a doctors prescription to procure marijuana; full legalization would likely spark an even more acute increase in crime.
It’s very simple. You are on the same side of the issue as Barney Frank and Ron Paul.
How’s about you name me one conservative who is for legalizing pot.
Just one.
(And Bill Buckley is dead. And he was NO conservative.)
