Governor Mitt Romney, moderate from Massachusetts, father of Romney Care, wealthy, Mormon, and blue blood took a pretty good stomping in South Carolina. Why?
Well, one reason appears to be he would not reveal his tax returns. By his own admission Mr. Wealth admitted that he was paying about 15% as his federal income tax rates! What's that mean? It means he is so wealthy he lives off his long term investments. Now this is the politician who creates a state health care program in Massachusetts, and wants the tax payers of the state to pay for it. Romney's plan was the prototype for Obama Care! Socialism, whether at the federal level, or at the state level is still socialism and anti-American!
For years, the RINO's in the Republican Party have been telling the conservatives within the party that we had to take the lesser of two evils. That led to George Bush I & II, Bob Dole, and John McCain. It also led to 17 trillion in debt, two major wars in Iraq and Afghanistan while not guarding the US - Mexican border, failure to develop US energy resources, huge unemployment and a general dependence on the government. That's what the lesser of two evils strategy has gotten us.
Glen Beck is spending three hours a day using his sarcasm to attack Newt Gingrich. No objectivity, no discussion, just typical Beck propaganda! But Glen I got some news for you.
This time conservatives, Just Say No! We either want Sarah Palin, or we want someone who will actually reverse course. We want someone who will reduce federal spending, eliminate centralization of power through the elimination of the federal Department of Education, and EPA, and federal money for the arts, and earmarks for Congressman.
TEA PARTY, where are you? Don't lay quiet and think that like a bunch of cheer leaders you are gonna run onto to the field after the choices are made. Either you stand for something or you don't. If you stand for something, than pick your candidate based on what you stand for...and announce.
America is at a Cross Roads. This is not a time to go soft. This is not a time to wait, to join the bandwagon after the decisions have been made. Americans, time for you to speak your mind.
Glen Beck every day proves he is not what he said he was. Every day Beck turns from his Christianity to promote a non-Christian!
South Carolina you did your job! South Carolina, as you have so many times in the past, you have stood up and were counted. South Carolina you made a difference. You have given the people a choice!
Florida, the game is in your court. Many in Florida are northeasterners! For years I have called Florida the sixth county of New York City! I believe those "Floridians" will vote for Romney, their northeastern kin! I believe the Yankees will stick together! Florida, your entire economic base is built on tourism! Therefore you should be very concerned with big picture economics! The better the US economy, the better your state will do. But, socialism, Obama Care, huge mountains of debt, and globalism, and false issues like Global Warming are hobbling the US economy, and thus your hotels are empty! All your tourist end points, like Disneyland, Ft. Lauderdale, etc. are suffering because Americans don't have the disposable income to go on vacations to Florida!
Florida, you best wake up. Who is better for your economy? Is it Romney and his RINOism which would pretty much carry on the economic policies of Obama, or is it a more conservative economic policy focused on rebuilding the US economy, In part this is about developing US energy resources! In part, this about is about retaking the US marketplace for American made goods, and in part this about cutting back on the "entitlement" state!
Florida you are a core economic nod gel within the American economy. It's up to you. South Carolina has sent a message. They have reset this primary, and demonstrated that the people are tired of the status quo. Florida, we need to reclaim our heritage, not at a parade, or 4th of July ceremony. We need to reclaim our heritage in policy and practice! We need to reclaim our Judeo-Christian faiths, and our capitalist economic models.
“By his own admission Mr. Wealth admitted that he was paying about 15% as his federal income tax rates! What’s that mean? It means he is so wealthy he lives off his long term investments. “
SO WHAT?
I am not a Romney supporter, but I am all for successful people living off their investments. More power to him on that.
—Every day Beck turns from his Christianity to promote a non-Christian! -
That is incorrect. Here is a correct statement: “Every day Beck stands by his mormonism to promote a mormon.”
Beck has become a nutcase.
Maybe he always was, but it has now become evident.
Florida: Where the east coast goes to die.
Beck is mentioned in to single sentence paragraphs. What does he have to do with this article?
My opinion is that they are using the election for publicity. For the general election, they will either endorse Obama or will not endorse Newt, if Newt wins the primary. These people, such as Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, Joe Scarborough put publicity first. Fox News, for example is going for Romney, because it looks better to be known as the “Mitt Romney Network” than the “Newt Gingrich Network.” They aren’t as anti-Obama as they claim, and they fear being called racist.
So, who owns Beck? The GOP? I missed the part about Beck's owners.
yeah, we should never have even had an income tax. the founders fought the greatest military power of that day over far less excessive taxation!
Glenn Beck is a shock jock.
Beck is probably following his bishop’s instructions to support his co-religionist.
Going rogue? He’s going nuts. This morning he threatened to send tapes of Newt to primary state radio stations, apparently in an effort to destroy his campaign. If Beck ends up being responsible for sticking us with Willard the abortionist & homosexual lover, he will have a lot to answer for.
The writer could at least spell Beck’s name right. It’s Glenn with two n’s.
So Glenn Beck does not support Newt, and is using his microphone to state his reasons why. OK, I dont see a problem with that. He is entitled to have an opinion, and his favorite candidate, which it seems to be Santorum. What he is saying on his show is not much different than what we were saying here on FR when Newt first threw his hat in. Look back at the FR archives from spring of last year and you could scarcely find a kind comment about Newt, and that couch photo of him and Pelosi was on every Newt thread. Glenn Beck has remained unmoved in all of that time. It is us that have changed and seem not able to remember what comments we posted about Newt back in May 2011 when he was in the single digits. It is us that need to explain why we changed our minds about Newt
I consider myself an undecided delegate that doesnt even vote until March. Im interested in everyones opinions, even Becks.
“Disneyland”, maybe?
I guess we need to put Rush in the same nutcase category, because all the reasons Glenn has given to look closely at Newt have also been presented by Rush.
I’ve pledged my support for Newtard “FDR” Ging-dong, but if he blows this — or some huge skeleton crawls out of his closet — I’m kicking that bookworms ass.
I don’t know where you guys get this stuff about Beck supporting Romney because he is a Mormon. Beck has said repeatedly that he doesn’t trust any of them. He has concerns about Newt. I do too. Most on FR did, as well, a few weeks ago. If anything, Beck has leaned toward Santorum.
I thought everyone knew Beck was a Mormon. This article seems to have little to do with Beck really. I don’t know what is trying to pull right now though (but I think he was secretly in the bag for Romney without wanting to say so).
Beck along with much of the Republican elite and the hard core Democrats, who support our communists black Muslim King Obama, is enough for me to definitely realize that Newt Gingrich is the only nomination for President.
Quelle macabre!
