The writer could at least spell Beck’s name right. It’s Glenn with two n’s.

So Glenn Beck does not support Newt, and is using his microphone to state his reasons why. OK, I don’t see a problem with that. He is entitled to have an opinion, and his favorite candidate, which it seems to be Santorum. What he is saying on his show is not much different than what we were saying here on FR when Newt first threw his hat in. Look back at the FR archives from spring of last year and you could scarcely find a kind comment about Newt, and that couch photo of him and Pelosi was on every Newt thread. Glenn Beck has remained unmoved in all of that time. It is us that have changed and seem not able to remember what comments we posted about Newt back in May 2011 when he was in the single digits. It is us that need to explain why we changed our minds about Newt
I consider myself an undecided delegate that doesn’t even vote until March. I’m interested in everyone’s opinions, even Beck’s.

I completely agree. I think many are trying to fool themselves with Newt. Nine months ago 90% of the people on this site couldn’t stand the man. He’s a big government solutions guy and is going to be a big disappointment.

And Beck does not support Romney. If these people ever listened to his show they would know that Beck said if Romney becomes president the nation is finished.

How true. I remember those threads. Newt's like the crack shot at the gun range that forgets from time to time to keep his gun pointed down range. He hits what he's aiming at better than anybody, but then his discipline breaks down and he's swinging those brilliant rhetorical skills wherever. I'd rather have someone on my side who may be less gifted in nailing the enemy, but also less prone to shoot me by accident.
