Time has come for me to leave the chaos of FreeRepublic.
Over the past 13 years I always felt that FR was the home of Conservatives with core values that could not be compromised. This election cycle has shown me that I have been wrong in my assessment.
The lack of moral or intellectual commitment by many of the FR members has resulted in the end of my involvement.
I'm sure JR and many others are pleased but know that the early years were great experiences.
God Bless to all and enjoy the next 4 years of Obama.
You ought to get a job and contemplate living your life more fully as you have often thought before you lecture others with your synthetic superiority and completely lame qualifier as to who may give an opinion.
LOL! Swiped for future abuse!
Just take a few weeks off marty.((((Hugs)))))
that’s mean
all of the candy dates are awful
LOL
” - - - The lack of moral or intellectual commitment by many of the FR members has resulted in the end of my involvement.”
The weeds in the grass
Will be a thing of the past,
When shoulder to shoulder we stand.
With cutting blades sharp
And intellect strong
The weeds in the grass won’t last long.
The polarized view
Of the skallywag crew
Will delight as we advance to the rear.
Refreshed, and compact
We will regain what we lacked
And overtake the weeds in the grass.

BTW, “I wasn’t born in TEXAS, but I got here as fast as I could!”)
marty you are absolutely right getting off the stinkin computer and living a real life unlike the rest of us dorks here
Oh please spare me all the high road crap. Perry’s decision to drop was the right one and I applaud his wisdom to do so, it’s marty’s whining that I have issue with.
Take your assumptions and take a hike yourself.
Oh well, turns out others on a political opinion site have opinions not the same as yours.
The horrors.
You need to get out more.

...And yet, when FR needs stalwart, uncompromising Conversatives to keep the flag upright against the wind and the artillery, you wish to throw down your weapon and desert?
If you don’t change with the times, you’ll get left behind.
Lucianne? Just kidding.
Old Sarge: We were in the nick of time, you were in great peril!
Marty60: I don't think I was. I just wrote my opus! I want to go to the "internets"!
Old Sarge: Yes you were, you were in terrible peril.
Marty60: Look, let me go back into the "internets" and face the peril.
Old Sarge: No, it's too perilous.
Marty60: Look, I'm a conservative, I'm supposed to get as much peril as I can.
Old Sarge: No, we've got to get you back to FreeRepublic.com. Come on!
Marty60: Well, let me have just a little bit of peril?
Old Sarge: No, it's unhealthy.
Marty60: Bet you're a Romney supporter!
Old Sarge: No, I'm not!
It is better to be right behind, than to be left behind.
Except for things like train crashes.
The response to your surrender is as unfortunate as your surrender. This is exactly what the left media want from us on the right. They want us to fragment and feel defeated and to just give up. Maybe your candidate did not come through. Maybe we have an incredebly weak field of POTUS candidates. Maybe we have to overlook some very glaring problems.
We will never get a perfect candidate. If we did they would be destroyed by the left. Look what has happened to the tea prty movement.
This is not the time to surrender. We have a lot of people on our side and we must hold true and defeat the left, no matter whose name is on the ballot. We cannot get everything we want all at one time. We have to look to the long term and take incremental steps to get where we want. We have got to stop this all of nothing attitude if we want to succeed. God help us
rgr that
