Time has come for me to leave the chaos of FreeRepublic.
Over the past 13 years I always felt that FR was the home of Conservatives with core values that could not be compromised. This election cycle has shown me that I have been wrong in my assessment.
The lack of moral or intellectual commitment by many of the FR members has resulted in the end of my involvement.
I'm sure JR and many others are pleased but know that the early years were great experiences.
God Bless to all and enjoy the next 4 years of Obama.

That is a weakass Opus.
You’ll be back.
Your reasons for leaving aren’t all that explicit.
There is no other venue for expressing your views.
Have a nice vacation and we’ll see you soon.

Might as well stick around.
I adamantly disagree that Gingrich is a wise choice but I’ll have to be lanced like a festering boil.

Take a break. Things are very frustrating to many of us right now with this election cycle already. Can't wait until summer.

Complain about Romney, complain about Gingrich but if you don’t place a vote for the GOP candidate in November IT IS YOUR FAULT that Obama gets re-elected.

Perry just didn’t catch on. It isn’t our fault and it’s certainly no reason to give up the good fight. I’m in this fight to beat Obama and to crush the liberals. I want to destroy them. I want to make them cry and gnash their teeth. It’s less important to me which tool we use to destroy them. I do think Newt will be an incredibly effective sledge hammer though.

Hate when FR loses some of the old timers.
As in those that have been around here before 2001.
Everyone needs to unplug for awhile.
Come back and join us, I'm sure they'll keep your place warm.

I'm sick of hearing this crap. I WILL NOT vote for Mitt if he's the nominee, I'll vote libertarian.
Until the Republicrats run a conservative and not the one whose turn is it, why encourage them.
Maybe 4 more years of Obama (which is what you'll get with Mitt), will wake them up.

......don't worry, you'll be back to FReeRepublic....take a break and vote ABO (anyone but Obama). My wife and I have turned off the news since Christmas....our New Years Resolution is to watch less news and use more ham radio ;)

A lot of the Perry backers will be tempted to take their ball and go home. However the choice is now down to Newt, Romney or Obama. And to quote the old Rush song "If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice".
This is not the last battle, it is not the last war. Take a break, don't burn your bridges. Stay safe, see you after the primaries.

I'll miss you, like a tooth ache.
You have been a pompous, arrogant, know it all, and when any one would disagree with you, and used facts and logic, you pouted and whined.
Enjoy life doing whatever you do, but don't cheat and come back as Mary69.
