It was brought to my attention yesterday that an official Muslim Brotherhood Facebook page, and an official Barack Obama campaign Facebook page are aggregating posts from other Facebook posters. We don't know how this is happening technically without Facebook cooperating - at least I and some friends do not know. The glaring controversy is that the aggregations are all negative posts about Obama and about the Muslim Brotherhood. We have the U.S. regime and the Muslim Brotherhood members worldwide watching us, documenting us, and we cannot delete the posts from their Facebook pages. If you are someone who knows how this works, please enlighten me either in a comment or by email. The video below demonstrates the process.
Of the posts you see on the Muslim Brotherhood Friend Activity page, few if any chose to be a friend. On the Barack Obama Friend Activity page it may be the same since the articles are all negative, but perhaps some have friended just to know what BO is doing.
Grumpy Opinions has been digging in and has more information. The goal is to expose what is going on. The goal is to determine what we can do about this, either through protests or changing our Facebook privacy settings, if the option exists.
Questions: Is it dangerous? Why are they exposing our information to their own followers? Have you noticed this with any other sites, or is it just these two?
Bloggers, if you blog something about this and want to pass the info on in some way, I will link to you if you link this article. How many Facebook posters do not know they are quoted and featured on these two pages? Let's make this go viral.
Here is what I recommend:
1) Have nothing to do with facebook.
2) See #1, above.
The Muslim terrorists are the enemy of America. They say America is the great Satan. Is there anyone so naive that they don't realize that the Obama Administration considers America to be the great Satan?
Obama believes that if he destroys America he will go to heaven and be greeted by 72 virgins.
I haven’t found my posts there, but I have found links to my posts from other posters, and my comments and my likes.
I have never even been to the facebook website, so I know they don’t have anything from me...
..unless they are collecting FR posts.
What’s he going to do w 72 virgins. Talk them to death?
Yep, sure enough, I clicked on his page and then clicked on ‘friend activity’ and any posts and comments from me and my friends that included his name were posted on that wall for all to see. There is no delete option. I am certainly not his friend and it was spooky to see what is considered private, posted there.
Obama thinks they will be boy virgins. Larry Sinclair, Donald Young and so many others could tell you what Obama likes to do.
How do I post these two pages on my facebook page so my friends can see that their post are on the two pages?
Just another reason in the ever growing list of reasons not to have FB.
This does not require Facebook or any hosting site help to accomplish. A remote computer can scan this info via its own search or using Web search engines, then post them onto Facebook or any other place(s).
I know exactly how it is happening.
Just after the inauguration, there was a RFP released by the Obama administration looking to contract a company to aggregate all comments from social networking sites.
Our company decided to be a no-bid.
So all social comments are databased somewhere by someone for some use that cannot be good.
If a FB poster being aggregated has linked a FR article, then it appears it would be on the pertinent site. We think they may be using keywords.
Yes, that was the feeling I had as well.
If you cannot highlight, copy and paste, then type in the full url and click ‘share.’ That should work. I think you can also share the FR link on your page which already has the links.
I’ll link your comment in my original post. Thanks. Creepy.
My immediate response several years ago upon first hearing about ‘social networking’ sites was: “Sounds like a government monitored, if not government sponsored, personal information-mining operation to me. I want nothing to do with it.”
It appears my suspicions were 100% correct.
I assume this would take the cooperation of Facebook to allow it to work?
Ever ‘Google’ your FR screename? Scary what’s out there. Beware of what you post, even here at FR.
