Just makes me want to post more often on FB that Obama Sucks as a President!

I sent Freerepublic’s page with the sites on it and emailed it to the people whose comments showed up on the page. I guess that’s the best way to notify them.

A little after 4pm today, after I posted the same article on FB, it was aggregated into the Muslim Brotherhood site AND they removed their MB ‘green circle’ icon. Probably because I said it was their official page.

My post was right there on top and is still there. Somehow the truth has to get out.

I don’t think this is what people think it is.
Depending on your settings, you can be associated with others, or friends of friends’ etc. So if I visit the friends activity page of some organization, what it will show is any connection it can find between me and that page. So if it shows the posts of a friend, it means they have some linkage that is putting them there.
So if you are seeing YOUR posts, then either YOU or a FRIEND whose posts you have commented/liked have a link.
So, check your settings.

I’ve talked to many bloggers. They have no connection to the Muslim Brotherhood page. I’ve also talked to many who have no connection to Barack Obama’s page, but I do agree that some might simple to keep up what he is up to. But most have never friended the page in any way.

I was connected to many who have been showing on both of these pages but my own posts haven’t appeared there until this one today on the MB page.

Yesterday I tightened my settings strictly limiting no one but my friends to access. That doesn’t include the MB, but I am there anyway today, and everyone who liked and commented on my post on FB are there as well.

See, that’s the thing though. If I go there, I don’t see your stuff or any of your friends or whatever. I see the only person I know, who is a political guy who has lots of friends and no doubt a connection somewhere down the line.
I do not know how the linkage is set up but I think it is a FB “feature” that looks for a linkage and shows what it finds. In other words, this friends activity, is not the MB “watching” or “aggregating” what people post, but if you pick ANY organization and look to the “friend activity” it will show whatever links exist between you/your friends and that organization.

After reading that bloggers post I am fairly certain that’s what FB is doing, is showing friend activity with those words, that match a facebook page. Not just any keywords, but words that match a page.

My nephew pointed out to me that any comment I make on Facebook about any famous person with a Facebook page is recorded on their ‘friend activity’ even if I am not friends with them. I tried it with several famous singers pages and he is right....my comments were recorded when I used their names. So, take it for what it is worth.

This Twitter account is mine but I never set up this “who is” page. I think it’s done automatically. Also hashtags can be used to search. I notice that Facebook can also be used in this way.
