As several others have pointed out, maybe Newt is an incompetent leader after all. This criticism has come from a number who served with him in Congress. Yes, it may be sour grapes or payback, but maybe he is more talk than results. I’m not one to see a conspiracy behind this as much as Newt having a sense of entitlement - “I will be the GOP nominee!” This may just be poor leadership.

And as for all of you who will never vote for Romney against Obama, you lose any right to complain if we get four more years of this travesty. Do you really want Obama appointing judges to the courts for another term? The Obama legacy will be with us for decades if we don’t deny him another term. I say, anybody but Obama, even if I have to hold my nose and vote for Romney.

That’s a good question. But, Republican appointees from Reagan and both Bushes have stabbed conservatives in the back just as democrat judges have. Every court from the Districts to the Circuits to the Supreme is infested with liberals. I’m afraid it makes no difference who the president is when it comes to judicial nominees.
