Sure does, but the wife thinks I want her in a pile of lizard poo. I don’t know where or why she got that idea. Too nuch “Forensic Files” I guess. All I know is....I really like palm trees. And warmth. We live in PA, and as god is my witness I will leave this foresaken state even if the only option is to be buried in Florida post-mortem.

We first go th Washington D.C. and string up the elected and appointed crooks, then start fresh here.

The capitol, Bismarck, is a great N.D. city to live in. I lived there 7 years and left because my job took me elsewhere. It has rolling hills and the Missouri river running through it. Wonderful people and the climate is slightly warmer than the eastern part of N.D. Still cold but good weather about 8 months out of the year.

There are many smaller towns and cities if you really want to lay low or escape the onslaught of illegals. Many people who grew up in N.D. have left the state due to better job opportunities elsewhere. But now the oil boom has produced many high wage jobs. Agriculture is also doing well so the economy is doing very well. It has the lowest unemployment rate in the U.S.

Imagine the bloody footprints of Washingtons volunteers as they drilled in Valley Forge. Did you get that? Bloody freaking footprints you cowards! If you don’t have the guts to stay when the chips are down and America needs you the most, then please please leave now you wretched scum.

Very powerful image. I understand your post. No one knows how events will unfold over the coming years. Most everyone I know is very worried.

I can't picture anything like the original Revolution being fought. There will not be a single entity to fight against.

The government parasite class at all levels has it's evil tentacles in our lives. You have half the populace that is lazy and not motivated to "do the right thing." They want handouts. You have Conservatives desperate to convince the populace that government at all levels need to be slash if our Republic is to survive -- currently an seemingly impossible task.

It seems the most likely scenario will be a miserable, unending decline into a Socialist hell.

A peaceful turnaround towards Liberty just doesn't seem probable. Against that backdrop, maybe people only responding, wanting to leave, because they see as individuals they can do nothing. It is a rational response.

I ask, what set of events can occur that will spark a new set of Patriots to restore Constitutional government? What can we do to make our Founders proud? 2012 will be our last chance.

Valley Forge by Iced Earth

Here is a song that conveys the heart and soul of the men who stood fast with Washington at Valley Forge. Here are a couple of stanzas:

Standing barefoot, frozen bloody hands
His musket clutched, an iron grip
And for the cause, he has but one regret
He's only got one life to give

Would he look upon us now in anger and disgust
His politics a birthright and our creed
Will we let ignorance and laziness bring our demise
Complacency, we're blinded by our greed

I wish those who don't want to defend our country would just leave....now...don't look back and don't come back....you either are in or you're out......

we "band of brothers"..(and sisters) will not hang our heads when all is said and done...others will have nothing but shame...

EAGLES UP!

I agree with you and many like you who state it like it is.

I legally came to this country more than 10 years ago because of a few things....

Bill of Rights

Constitution

My belief in “By the people, For the People”

I shall die here, how I do that I shall hopefully choose.

I shall Not return to my country when things go bad.... I have already had that chance and allowed it to pass.

I shall stand with those who seek to defend this Nation from Communism, Marxism, Socialism, Totalitarianism, anything that is not as those two documents set out.

If you are staying, count my hand and my heart to be by your side.

On that note, we have this:

Don't mess with America. Don't bet against her.

On that note, are you on the CWII (civil war II) ping list?

And on the general subject of "Where in the U.S. to be?", this thread needs a link to here:

The CW2 Cube -- Mapping the Meta-Terrain Of Civil War Two by Matthew Bracken [MB = FReeper Travis Mcgee]

A second civil war in the United States would be an unparalleled disaster. Nobody who is sane and who has studied modern civil wars from Spain to Lebanon to the Balkans and beyond would ever wish to see one occur. But if political, cultural and demographic trends are sweeping us toward that unhappy destiny, it would be wise to at least cast a weather eye over the possible terrain.

Click on the link for the full article with accompanying graphic. Worthwhile.

SoCal would be one of my last choices. I left beautiful San Diego for North Florida. Anyplace that needs water piped in from 100s of miles away is not going to be a happy place if the infrastructure collapses.

“Virtual seccession” of various sorts is probably the likely scenario. The fedgov can continue to announce edicts, that they can’t enforce, while the states do as they like.

No economy, no taxes to DC. Starve the beast. Maybe a silver lining.

If I had a 60’ schooner I might consider the South pacific, and probably center upon Australia/new Zealand.

If I knew more people and certain contacts or some “skills” I might consider the Caribbean, sometimes fiction speaks for reality I think.

Sorry I just bought a kindle touch and I’m totally blown away reading a certain book...

"Even with a minimal monthly social security check, you can have money left over."(Ukraine).

One of the problems is that with a collapse in the US, there probably won't be any social security checks and any other annuity based upon US investments and assets would also be in danger. If you have truly independent means and assets, then Switzerland is likely to survive a US and global depression IMO.
