CNSNews.com) - In a speech delivered at Osawatomie High School in Osawatomie, Kansas, on Tuesday, President Barack Obama argued that while a limited government that preserves free markets "speaks to our rugged individualism" as Americans, such a system "doesn't work" and "has never worked" and that Americans must look to a more activist government that taxes more, spends more and regulates more if they want to preserve the middle class.

Bingo:
You hit the nail on the head.
Obama isn’t against HIS being rich.
He enjoys all the trappoings of the rich on our dollars’ while compiling his own rich’s.
He wants his race as Hitler wanted the Aryan race.
Obama is a racist first and foremost.
And a bitter racist at that.
You know Jesse Jackson? LMAO
Those running for the Republican nomination need to jump on this. If they don’t, we lose.
Oh, Lord, I know you set up kings and depose them. Please depose this man from office. Please!
I agree that it hasn’t worked in the sense that he means “worked”. There is no system that will bring about universal equality of outcomes. There will always be income inequality because we can never get rid of talent, initiative, and work ethic inequality. There will never be a utopia where we all have equal bank accounts and all get to lay around while beautiful naked women feed us grapes.
There is no system that has brought more prosperity to more people while elevating the lot of ordinary people than the free market. And I would argue that a totally free market has never been tried. There has always been government interference from the start in this country. Even though in the beginning we had a relatively free market it has gotten more and more controlled in the name of fairness since the birth of the Republic.
Mr. President, give up. No one on earth is smart enough to run the economy. It can’t be done. Get out of the way and let people take care of themselves. They will do a better job than Washington ever could.
Well at least Barry has finally taken off the mask. The true Marxist has finally appeared. Know him, fear him, get rid of him in Nov 2012.
We had to enslave the free market in order to preserve it.
Can the GOP please start labeling him as a Communist?
It is the TRUTH and it needs to be communicated before we are out of options.
You've just stated an absolute truth. That's why, even if the pubbie nominee is Mittens (God forbid!) I'll contribute money to his campaign and vote for him.
Is that a real bumper sticker &, if so, where can I get one? I’m looking for someting right on the edge that’s as offensive as I can get away with.
bump for later comment...
By the time we, as a nation (as opposed to us here on FR...), begin to think “this is too bizarre to be happening”, it will be far too late. What seems to be happening, however, is that spectacularly bizarre things keep happening, and we just don’t seem, as a nation, to give a damn. Far more important, it would seem are skank-filled “reality” shows (unlike many others, I actually believe such shows DO capture the reality lived by a great number of people...) and televised sports (which I, too, confess to enjoying perhaps a bit too much...). Unfortunately, we have passed the point of no return, and the transformation/disfiguration of our culture will continue apace.
a.k.a., for him, kryptonite.
It makes perfect sense that he has such contempt for the free market. He's never had a real job in his life, never run a business; always, he's lived off the goodies his charm bought for him.
His style has been to obscure his socialist bent, while attacking capitalism at every turn in his actions. Now that Obama sees we don't like what he has done, he's trying to sell us on what he really wants for this country.
He sees the polls, this is born of desperation. Yes, he is revealing himself to us, and I think it's a big mistake.
