I understand the critiques of Newt Gingrich. I used to make them myself and am well versed in their particulars.
But to compare him in any way with an active member of the Kenyan Communist Party... well, that’s beyond rational discussion.

All that Republicans like Dole, McCain and Gingrich (and Romney, for that matter) are good for are eloquent, dignified concession speeches.
Their job is to make sure the demo-crap wins. Period. To hell with them, the Grand Old Party and their `moderate’ friends.
Not one of them is a conservative we can solidly and confidently give our support to. All of them have weaknesses, all of them have something strange in their background, or their experience, or their ability to speak, or their projected image.
When it comes down to it, one of them will have to be able to beat Romney, who is so fatally flawed we simply cannot afford to allow the other candidates to be trashed with the conservative base, one after another which is what is happening. It's time to stop trying to destroy other candidates because you simply like another.
