Like many of us here at PJ Media and many Americans around the world, I’ve been mighty outraged — not surprised — merely outraged and infuriated at the lowball hardball the Democrats are stooping to play to rid President Obama of his most terrifying nightmare: Mr. Herman Cain as the Republican standard-bearer. Last night, I posted the following comments on Bryan Preston’s insightful Tatler blog on the despicable Democrat attack on Mr. Cain’s integrity:
“What a pitiful excuse for a campaign tactic. Direct from the Chicago sewer system to a website and TV screen near you. There is no legal theory of which I’m aware under which a person who has received a settlement payment pursuant to a confidentiality agreement– signed freely by that person — can be ‘released’ from his or her obligations under the agreement. Is the alleged “accuser” planning to fork over the monetary settlement she accepted? Why do I doubt it?

No evidence, none facts, no paper trail. No evidence at all. Merely a string of anonymous sources making accusations.
The accusations are then "validated" by more hear say accusations by third party sources linked to other GOP campaigns.
The GOP machine better buy a clue. This stupidity on their part may just buy them a Tea Party presidential candidate in 2012.
Is sexual harrassment in the work-place illegal? i.e. a criminal or civil breach?
If criminal - the accused has the right to confront the accuser.
It does not appear that Herman Cain was confronted by his accuser(s) - but advised of the claims - after they had been disposed of by a third party (Association legal team).
Whoever disposed of the dispute has the written documentation and can Cain demand copies - and is he subject to the ‘confidentiality’ clause?
Everyone needs to know the procedure and protocol for this type of covert character assassination potential.

Don't doubt it Ann, the subsequent payment from an undisclosed source will probably be 10 times whatever the original extortion payment was.........
That's why a third "unnamed" female has stepped forward with her claim that she "had thought about it"........

Exactly. What a weird thing for Coulter to say. When you think sexual harassment in the 1990s, Bill "Depends on the Meaning of 'is'" Clinton has to be at the top of the list. Didn't seem to hurt him very much. In fact, he's probably more popular now with the dimwits than before the sex scandals.
