I encourage everyone to take a deep breath, and let the campaign chips fall where they may for a couple weeks, without passing judgement. We are watching political ping-pong right now.
We don't have facts on either side yet. Cain has been accused. Perry is now being accused by Cain. Romney is now being accused by Perry. Will Romney turn around and accuse Bachmann or Santorum?
Time will bring everything out in the open that we need to know. We are all guilty of jumping to conclusions without any facts. The media is playing us, and we are letting them.
It has only been 3 days since the Cain story first broke. Let's give it 2-3 weeks for all the players to air their dirty laundry before we come to any conclusions.
Can we do that? Why the rush to judgement? Is the election tomorrow? Nope. So let's let all the candidates muddle through this, while we sit back and watch. Let's be thoughtful and measured in our judgement, as we live in our glass houses. Isn't that what Jesus would do? :-)
Never posted a vanity thread before, but I'm saddened to watch FReepers tear each other's throats out and judge various candidates on the slightest of mis-steps. How about a little forgiveness and patience, to see how it all plays out in the next few weeks?
Your no fun at all. I prefer to pile on random candidates with half truths an straight up lies. It makes FR lively.
POTUS is a figurehead.
Unless the POTUS has the support of the big money backers that control Congress, he/she is a fart in the wind. Might as well get some golfing in....
I agree. I’ve said my peace.
Let the chips fall where they may.
BINGO!
WELL SAID!
Same here. Good first vanity.
great post. I agree that if we destroy one another we’re sunk. I’m just as guilty as anyone. Damn it, we need one another if we’re gonna beat the Marxists who are destroying our country.
Simplest explaination is likely the best one: the Media’s in the tank for Obama and Politico acted on its own.
What do we do with the quisling fellow travelers who are cooperating with the Marxists for a smaller slice of the political pie?
No. Someone is being unjustly accused and you just want to take deep breath.
The whole thing makes the Republican candidates look like a giant joke. Hussein and the media are no doubt loving this. Cain and his people are novices and are not ready for the big leagues, Perry can’t communicate without bumbling around and sounding silly, Romney is a polished politician but such a flip flopping RINO that I can’t support him, Bachmann comes across as unpresidential, Ron Paul is a kook, etc. I think I might have to roll the dice, throw my support behind Newt and hope for the best. I don’t think he can stay focused and his current wife is a flake, but at this point I don’t see much alternative.
I really don’t want to see Obama reelected. Republican/Conservative infighting isn’t going to get us were we need to be.
good post, I agee
I've said it before.....Karl Rove is two faced. One face is Mitt Romney, and the other is Rick Perry.
I can understand why you, as an ardent Cain supporter, wouldn’t want anyone to pass judgment on his tap dancing or finger pointing right now, and hope it will all go away.
No, he'd blame Perry, his main opponent right now. Bachmann and Santorum take votes away from Cain (or Perry), not Romney, so Mitt wants them in the race and doing well.
Flame away.... but I'm going to reserve judgment on all of the accused parties until there is more information -- credible information.
Definitely. There's enough rumor mongering going on. No point in adding to it.
Party pooper! It's been fun watching it.
