Live from Occupy Oakland: Window smashing, vandalism, and more
Michelle Malkin ^ | Nov 2, 2011 | Michelle Malkin

I’m starting a fresh thread on tonight’s Occupy Oakland “strike.” (Previous post and background here.)

They’ve welcomed the Black Panthers and Communist revolutionary thug Angela Davis, and are currently marching to the Port of Oakland.

Various sympathizers and observers are tweeting live. Mother Jones reports that the Oakland Whole Foods store — after being falsely accused of threatening to punish workers who walked out on the job today — has been vandalized.

One person on scene writes: “Straight into window breaking and street furniture smashing at whole foods. #generalstrike #occupyoaklandwindow breaking and street furniture smashing at whole foods.”

Whole Foods is defending itself online. To no avail.

A big mob dressed in black is roaming around the streets. They’ve sprayed graffiti on the walls of businesses.

Wells Fargo windows have also been reportedly smashed.

Chase Bank vandalized.

Maybe the city enablers will use federal stimulus money to clean it up.

Overheard on livestream: Occupier sneers: “They can afford new windows.”

East Bay Express reports that approximately 75 shoppers were barricaded inside the Whole Foods as protesters threw rocks and smashed the windows.
Livestream here.

I’ll keep you posted as they head to the port.

I took a look at the local coverage in Oakland/SF and they either aren’t covering the vandalism at all or are calling it “minimal”. It is obvious the media in that area fully support this stuff. The mayor of Oakland is actually encouraging it.

And in other cities (Nashville) there are judges who refuse to even book the vermin the police are sweeping up. In fact one city judge said the state is not allowed to restrict the park at all.

Things are going to get really ugly. I almost hope the police continue to do nothing and normal, working Americans are forced to take matters into their own hands. If these filthy hippies and criminals come into my neighborhood and start damaging stuff I am pretty sure the good folks in my neck of the woods will handle the problem decisively and with finality.

Burn the city down and start with the mayor’s office. Then I want to see her press conference and continued support for these thugs. They deserve everything they ask for.

I went away for a while and came back to find they've climbed up on the big trucks and drumming on the cabs.

I hope those drivers are not in their trucks.

I didn't understand all this 'occupy' stuff in the first place and I certainly don't know what this march is about nor where it's going and why.

God, help us.

This “Occupy” stuff makes me really glad that we live out in a rural community.

During the ‘68 riots as I recall the only businesses in the effected cities that were not looted belonged to hard working Vietnamese immigrant entrepreneurs who guarded their property with shotguns.

These useful idiots WANT to provoke a violent reaction, and will portray even justified defense against them as “martyrdom” to be used as propaganda to advance their cause, much like they did after Kent State.

Look what the media is doing with that “Iraq Veteran” who got his gourd split open by a cop for doing who-knows what to him (we’ll probably never know, but it was probably something pretty aggressive and obnoxious). He’s being held up as a hero.
How many of those guys wearing uniforms at the occupy really have a DD-214 to back it up I wonder? If any of them are on active duty participating in uniform I would demand at least an Article 15 if not a court martial... but given who the pretender in Chief is, I wouldn’t count on it. They’d probably be awarded a bloomin’ medal for it.

During Bernadine Dhorn and Billy Ayer’s heyday they would put the women and children in the front lines with nylon stockings full of excrement to whack the police with and try to provoke a violent response. Other times they would break windows and scale the glass at the police at neck level. Of course the news cameras never showed that, but if a cop wound up a night stick it was all over the National news before it came down.

Back then they also had KGB operatives smuggled in from Cuba to advise the “revolutionaries” and in at least one case one of them is suspected of murdering a policeman with his own sidearm. They never caught the perp as the mob parted for him like the Red Sea to dash through and then closed up again before the police could follow (well orchestrated) but it was obvious that he was a professional killer. The KGB thug was probably just demonstrating how to do it.

Now I fully expect that AlQuida, Hezbollah and Hamas Jihaddists are on the scene as “advisers” like the KGB was before them. Stand by to see what they will teach the OWS UIs in the days and nights ahead.

Those of us who lived through the ‘60s remember all too well what to expect this time around - especially since a lot of the same radical traitors are behind it. It probably won’t be pretty this time either.

I don’t know where they are going but there sure are plenty of them! I don’t see many police on the live feed. Am I missing something or is this mob having their way.

So, let me see if I understand this... To punish the ‘fat cat 1%’, the protesters have blockaded the port of Oakland, thus trapping workers in the port, especially truck drivers who don’t get paid per hour, but per load, and get nothing for sitting time (aside from a fuel bill which they have to pay..)

This terrorism of piece workers is called ‘a general strike’?

I mean, really, bloody brilliant planning on their part, figuring out that you can blockade a simple intersection and pretty much lock down the entire port, but really, didn’t anyone tell them it’s the Port of Oakland? Most of the remaining shipments coming in right now are Valentine’s day items (and maybe some extra last minute orders for New Year’s...)

Had they been there a month ago, boy, you really could have shut down Christmas for the big boxes. And the topper, of course, is that everyone knows this is just a one night stand with these protesters, as a big storm is about to hit the area and chase off these whiners.

Accomplishment: Penalizing the most financially vulnerable people at the port. Way to go protesters!

In a way, the UIs along with the Islamofascists (and don’t pretend for a New York minute there isn’t a major connection!) are doing us a favor; they are getting cocky and coming out from under their rocks and out of their holes; the masks are coming off and they are proudly advertising to the World (anyone who cares to pay attention anyway) just what kind of spoiled, self centered, juvenile, tantrum-throwing, treacherous, bullying and obnoxious snots they really are.

The left’s attempts to associate the OWS bums with the TEA Party are becoming more than ludicrous, and that disingenuous hypocrisy is becoming more disgustingly obvious every day.

With every “honor killing” or muslim gang rape here in America or in the increasingly Islamicised Europe, people are seeing through the PC propaganda facade and recognizing Islamic fundamentalism for what it has been for about the last 1400 years.

The more of us who wake up to this uncomfortable reality the better our chances of survival as a functional civilization might be.

Let’s just hope and pray that this awakening isn’t too little, too late.

Yours is the obvious truth and sadly, no one in a position of authority has the stones to do what Daley did. What point of ‘’protest’’ is made when someone’s property and lively hood is threatened and vandalized? What is it going to take to stop this lawlessness?

Lots of rumors on the live feed about a car running down at least 3 protestors, one of whom is reported dead. Not officially confirmed apparently but lots of people reporting from the scene confirm in their postings. Moderator just shut down the “chat” in live stream but twitter postings still coming in about the casualties.
