My fear is that we will choose a candidate and then all this crap will come out after the fact. BETTER WE KNOW IT BEFORE, don’t you think? Or are you too shallow to realize that just because someone talks a good game does not mean they will be a good candidate.
If you have a right to come on a public forum and cast suspicion based on one exchange, I have an equal right to come on this forum and offer a different opinion based on testimony of many people.
Or it may not even be true. Let’s see...no one was raped, no one was groped, no sexual overtures were made, he allegedly said something they didn’t like. Well, boo frickin’ hoo. That could have been anything. It didn’t even have to be sexual in nature. Some people are just too thin-skinned. And like one of the Freepers said, a 5-figure settlement is for a nuisance suit. Companies routinely settle without admitting guilt just to make a nuisance suit go away, because that’s far less time-consuming and resource-consuming, costs a lot less money, and is far less emotionally exhuasting than actual litigation.
Prove me wrong. The accused is innocent until prove guilty. They are not guilty because they have been accused.
So PROVE your accusations true. The burden of proof rests on you, the accusers, not the accused.
