There were many interest events over the last few days that were nodding in the direction of a Palin run. I was getting messages all day that an announcement was due within the next day or two. What I did not expect was an announcement that she was not running for president. In fact everything was pointing in a more positive direction but alas she has decided and her decision is not to run. I believe that she was on the fence all the way until the final decision was made. There were reports out of politico that a Palin Affiliated Law Firm were making early state deadline inquiries for a primary run.
But it is decided she is not running and she believes that she will be more powerful outside the race.. I don't believe she will be more powerful outside the race. I believe that is she truly wanted to change America then she would have done it by entering the race. Her brand has been built on this disappointing game of cat and mouse with the media. She likes the innuendo that surrounds her every move. The media has been telling us for months that she is running, not running and running again. I must say it is easy to be disappointed and it is challenging to see exactly what she can offer from the sidelines. That said here is her message: After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. I know that Palin's entry would have helped Romney. There seems to be something more happening here that I imagine will become known at some point.
I sincerely hope that Palin does something more than play kingmaker but I am not sure what she can offer? I hate to say something negative against Sarah as I am a big fan but I am seriously bummed out and let down and I know she has the right to make whatever decision she chooses but to say I am not let down..
