Yet if I've got an issue with it, it's the establishment of a national sales tax

This could be dangerous unless it's coupled with a repeal of the 16th amendment. BUT, I give Cain a lot of respect for approaching the issue. Even on the conservative side all they seem to want to do is tinker with the current code and that really needs to go.

Yeah, that’s my take away too... Cain gets points for even approaching it, no doubt

I am opposed to the 9% sales tax. In my county we currently have a 7% sales tax so if Cain’s plan is implemented I will be paying 16% tax on every single purchase. That will diminish my purchasing power and discretionary purchases will be out the window.

AND once in place it will NEVER go away. In fact, it will probably increase over time.

NO, NO, NO to a national sales tax.

Please, everyone. Get a copy of the Fair Tax books and read them. All of the other taxes go away, alng with the 16th ammendment and the IRS as wel know it today! You might even be very surprised what other little gems are also in there.

READ THEM! Then come back with your arguements.
