I am opposed to the 9% sales tax. In my county we currently have a 7% sales tax so if Cain’s plan is implemented I will be paying 16% tax on every single purchase. That will diminish my purchasing power and discretionary purchases will be out the window.

AND once in place it will NEVER go away. In fact, it will probably increase over time.

NO, NO, NO to a national sales tax.

The plan is to eliminate the income tax. So the % you pay would go down.

The politicians will abuse ANY tax system we have. The problem is the politicians in office for life, not necessarily the tax system.

Who REALLY thinks the democrats will not keep BOTH taxes- federal income AND a national sales tax?

All that lovely taxpayer money, so many new roads and bridges to build....

To buy Herman’s snake oil, you have to trust the democrats.
