People on twitter are freaking out a bit over Herman Cain saying that “I could not support Rick Perry as the nominee for a host of reasons.” Here’s the clip:

Take that unprovoked hostility elsewhere, please.

Yeesh, I can't believe this thread. Have we all forgotten who the REAL enemy is here?

WE have candidates that are far from PERFECT and we all we do is concentrate on ripping them to shreds for their faults yet we seem to forget the biggest fault of it all.....OBAMA and his mission to destroy what this Country is and its WONDER OF GOD GIVEN GREATNESS!.

The idea that we're going to reverse 100 years of this attack of liberal, progressive policies in one election has got to stop. We have to reverse the course just as they did, over time. One step at a time.....well there is an alternative, but....

I can't believe this place sometimes.

I’m disappointed in Mr. Cain. For saying this and for choosing Romney the other night.

Governor Perry lives the games Cain is just playing. Real life, day in day out, with real people, real faces that confront him with their problems.

If his record of standing for life, marriage and family, states rights nd cutting spending while creating a climate of healthy businesses - hey! standing and not cutting and running does not impress Cain more than Romney’s waving with the wind, then Cain is not who I tho’t he was.

“I don’t think President Reagan would approve of the way some people here are treating the three tern governor of the great state of Texas.”

Check out some of the things Reagan said about Gerald Ford, his primary opponent in 1976 and 1980.

Not a smart move by Mr. Cain. It is as bad as Perry’s heartless Republicans comment. Who would Mr. Cain support, if Perry were to win the nomination?

He said he is ideal would be a combo of the two.

I'm trying to make sense of that statement. If Perry's ideal would be a combo of Cain and Newt, then why aren't Perry's own positions a combo of Cain's and Newt's?

It will splatter him with the mud he’s throwing around like it did to Michelle. Shootin’ from the lip...

Ofcourse he’s not supporting Perry for the nomination. He’s supporting himself in winning the nomination, I hope!

Geezy peazy.

Yes, It was a poor post.

Basically Perry said his ideal VP would be a cross of Cain and Newt.

If you read my typo addled posts, you will see, that my only criticism of Cain on this matter is that Cain first
is disingenuous on Perry being soft on the border because they have a difference of opinion on how to do it.

After that, Cain basically AGREES with all of Perry’s points but tries to make it sound like he is the guy that actually got his hands dirty, dealing with the issues.

His statement wreaked of BS to me.

Herman Cain, did more on States rights than Perry?
Herman Cain sued the FEDs because they weren’t doing their duty?

Perhaps you need to read this before you tout Herman Cain being for affirmative action. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2783383/posts

Everything Cain has he worked for. You think he’d approve of a brother sitting on his butt and coasting? I think not.

Go back and read my Post #42.

I was personally attacked for not noticing what's going on based on what I said in that post.

If there's anything in Post #42 that indicates that I do not know who the enemy is, please let me know.

If not, save the hostility for the real enemy and don't waste precious energy trying to bully someone who won't be bullied.

Thanks and have a nice evening.

Ok, gotcha. I could see that. If I recall correctly, the VP is generally sent out to attack the opposition, and I believe Cain and Newt are really good at it.

Grrrrr, prolly my fault but my post wasn't directed at you, I didn't mean to imply that you don't know who the enemy is.

It was a response to the personal attack that you received, nothing more than just a general response to what is happening on this thread and to you...

Laura Ingram just said that the Republican polls are like the current stock market.

They are swinging wildly.
I am for less of this sniping on our side and for discussing how we fix the country in general(without tipping our hand to Obama)

For all of the sniping, I think Obama will overplay his hand.

Wasn’t meant for you. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.

I meant it for Mr. Cain. I don’t think he’s that firmly in the lead...and even if he was I think people on the conservative/anti-Obama team need to be very careful with our attacks on the folks on our own side of the net.

I am surprised and disappointed that Cain lied about the Governor being soft on the border control. He knows better, so it’s a lie. I tho’t better, expected better of him.
