People on twitter are freaking out a bit over Herman Cain saying that “I could not support Rick Perry as the nominee for a host of reasons.” Here’s the clip:

No Problem I as a Perry supporter will not support YOU. Mr. Cain. I take back every good thing I said about him.

I watched the video and Herman Cain was talking about not supporting Perry FOR nominee.

I assure you that if Perry ends up being the Republican nominee he will vote for him. I’m sure he will clarify this forthcoming.

Anyone who listened to Cain’s show over the years will tell you that Cain always supported the R nominee against the D, even if he didn’t see eye to eye.

Now who’s getting in a snit over what a candidate has said. At least he didn’t call you heartless. You Perry supporters are really thin skinned. I’m sure he didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.

Cain has morals and sincerity and truth and conservatism.
Not like Perry has shown.

This makes FReepers like Mr. Cain much more.
You, PerryBOTs, not so much?

Alright...that’s a little over the top.

Herman needs to whoa back a bit. He won the Florida thingy. But he needs to watch his mouth a bit and go back to just talking about Obama and his solutions.

What with some of his other comments, he’s slipped a bit with me.

I like him. I think he’s got a lot on the ball.

But he’s got to quit participating in the circular firing squad.

This is the kind of dog-eat-dog stuff democrats love. They want us to savage each other, since it saves time and they come out unscathed. Eleventh commandment.

Let me get this straight.
Cain says he cannot support Perry because he hold the same positions?

WTF Herman?!

This week the darling on FR is Cain. Last couple of weeks it was Perry. Before that it was Bachman.

Who will be the new FR darling in Oct? Flip a coin.

Very surprising comment from Cain. I agree with his strong convictions on this topic, but I wonder if it won’t ruffle feathers with mild Perry supporters who were thinking about giving Cain a look.

It will also ruffle the feathers of people who want open borders to our south. To those people I say blow it out your ear.

No, because they do not hold the same positions on a number of key issues beginning with illegal immigrants. Did you watch the clip?
