Seems every thread I read has multiple incorrect usage. It drives me absolutely crazy! We are all adults and we should know this!

Another one that makes me crazy is, “then” and “than”

Why the grammar lesson? Not everyone wants to sound intelligent, after all. /s
I tend to skip over the comments of the uneducated, unintelligent, and lazy. But if a writer has taken the time to write well, I figure he’s probably got something to say that’s worth hearing.

The two sets of words that really irritate me with their misuse are “less and fewer” and “infer and imply”.
I know my grammer is not the best, but Sister Stella Marie left an indelible mark on my brain (and my knuckles) and it makes me cringe when I hear these words used improperly.
I guess that makes me a grammer nazi, but I would rather be that than an illiterate boob.
Flames may now commence.

Sad to say, but those who don’t properly distinguish these words will not likely read your excellent post, and if they do, their chance of improving such that they’re capable of property usage is not likely to be there.
My own grammar peeves have to do with its/it’s and using “to” for “too”....

Sigh.
I have always been fairly good with words like “their,
they’re and there”, but am horrible at the proper use of apostrophes.

One that gets me is misuse of question marks. How does one screw that up? They do. Here’s one I just got:
