Seems every thread I read has multiple incorrect usage. It drives me absolutely crazy! We are all adults and we should know this!

What drives me nuts is people using "loose" when they mean "lose."

If it drives you nuts here, try taking a look at Facebook. That will be a real intro to the (ever growing) illiterate class.

This is HUGH! Finally a series thread for the grammar and spelling nazis. Can we also talk about proper capitalization and punctuation?

The longer I'm on the internet, the more prone I am to such misspellings.
Two that drive me crazy:
"Are" for "our"
"Noone" for "no one"

Let's not forget:
1. your and you're
2. "other then" should be "other than"
3. "should of" is really a contraction for "should have" and should be written as " should've"

The use of words can be confusing. Words mean things, as Rush puts it, and they're things which drive me wild (words). Theirs no excuse. There (think this one is right). Spell-check says okay.

I view a college basketball forum and most of the posters are college students! I am amazed how illiterate they are & these 3 words are some of the biggest mistakes they make!
Yep, let's pay our teachers more money, they truly are getting thru to the kids! (/sarc)

How to Use There, Their and They're
Someone who has to be instructed on how to use these three homophones is already functionally illiterate. The confusion over these three is only the tip of the iceberg.
