Shelley Fabres in The Donna Reed Show

Mary Tyler Moore in The Dick Van Dyke Show. (NOT the later, whiny proto-feminist Mary Tyler Moore show).

“Why has no one mentioned Diana Rigg as Emma Peel?”

You should see what she looks like today. She has a mouth full of rotten English teeth. Yuk! I saw a web site with a lot of “then” and “now” photos of TV stars from the 60’s and 70’s. Many of the hot babes are not so hot anymore.

Bookishness versus big boobs is a false choice. Some got both.

Farrah had a face which grabbed your attention and she was pretty but Jaclyn Smith was prettier. Actually the blonde who replaced Farrah was prettier.

Does anyone remember one of those shows where the different networks competed against each other in athletic competitions?

There was a relay race and Jaclyn Smith was running the second leg in the 440 relay. She got the baton around 20 yards behind one of the girls and caught her then passed her by maybe 20 yards. She ran like a real athlete.

Count me in for Emma Peel too, I still remember her “stamina” line after all these years.

Found it on YouTube, starting at about the 3:40 mark.
