Note also that, 45 minutes in, Santorum had been given just one question. And he let the panel know. Then, when he did have a question, the buzzer rang and they cut him off immediately -- "We have rules!" but when Ron Paul got the buzzer, they let him ramble repeatedly.

I like Santorum, and though I don't think he's the biggest threat to Obama, it sure felt like the panel wanted to freeze him out, shut him down, and end his campaign.

But Ron Paul is useful to keep around, because he makes the GOP look like a home for lunatics.
