I was just having a litle fun with you..(G)

What could be interesting..now that under the new CB, the NFL has a rookie salary cap, could Andrew Luck attempt to pull an Eli Manning and force a trade to SF before the draft...I'm sure he'd love to stay in the Bay area and play for Harbaugh..since $$$ isn't an issue anymore...it'd be a question of just how much SF would be willing to give up, in players of draft choices..it may depend on whom has the first pick next year..if they already have a good QB..a deal could happen..you may well end up having a rooting insterest in all those teams athat are 3-10 in the last month of the season...

That is an interesting take on it.

I will go out on a very thin limb and say that the 49ers are not going to go far in pursuing A. Luck. I think Harbaugh believes that he can find and develop quarterbacks so as much as he would LOVE to be reunited with Luck, who is indeed a special talent, I think Harbaugh is just as happy to develop Kaepernick and if a more talented QB is available via draft the next few years, he will go that way.

Joe Montana was a 3rd round pick. Walsh saw what others missed in him and then developed him into arguably the finest NFL QB in the history of the sport. Arguably.

Harbaugh has faith in his ability do something similar. I’m not expecting another Montana in my lifetime, but I mean to say that Harbaugh will not let the 49ers give away the farm to pursue A. Luck. He is assembling a good young core team and he will be adding to it via draft, year after year.

Not that he wouldn’t be thrilled to have A. Luck. Like Harbaugh said, “Do we need a top flight quarterback? Do human beings need air to breathe?”
