OTOH, assume ( and not unreasonably) that Carolina finishes last again..and thus gets the first pick...now, the LAST thing the Panthers need is a QB...so they'd definitely be willing to trade the pick..you could get LUCK(y)...LOL
I suspect that some of those "meaningless" end of season games will be watched very, VERY carefully..
It's ALL about the timing.. I'm a lifelong JETS fan..my dad first got season tickets, back when I was in HS, when then AFL started..they were the NY TITANS, and played in the old Polo Grounds..what a dump..then at Shea..and of course, darn, in 1969..the ONE year they won it all..I was overseas in the Marines..got to hear it on AF radio..as well as the Mets and the Knicks..gawd..1969 was an amazing year..I took over the tickets in 1986..and had them until 2006..when I moved to Florida..gave them to my sons-in-law..they dropped them when the Jets moved into the new stadium, because they couldn't afford the PSLs...
So now I go to Bucs games here in Tampa..which aren't even sold out...no local TV last year...get great seats for the games I was to see..about 3-4 a year with no problem...You can get seats for a Bucs game that are CHEAPER than what it costs to PARK the car at a Jets game..
Well, as a former Jets fan, thanks for giving us Braylon Edwards. We need him badly with Crabtree being fragile.
There are definitely huge financial advantages to living away from a big expensive city. I know many San Franciscans who boast about all they can do in the city but never have the money to do it.
