These people were some of the most hateful people I have ever seen, said a distraught Glenn Beck this morning as he described an altercation he and his family had last night while watching a screening of Alfred Hitchcocks The 39 Steps in New Yorks Bryant Park. Explaining that a group of people yelled at his family, took pictures of them, and kicked a cup of wine onto his wife, Beck said that his security team feels that, had he reacted poorly, things might have gone off. I swear to you I think, if I had suggested, and I almost did, Wow, does anybody have a rope? Because theres tree here. You could just lynch me. And I think there would have been a couple in the crowd that would have.
Beck took particular exception with Gawker (he didnt name the website although he clearly described this post) for posting pictures of his family.

Glenn Beck is too dramatic by far.
This sort of behavior is not uncommon in drug and alcohol addicts, which Beck has admitted to, but nothing says we have to buy into it and feed his need for attention.
If he was assaulted, he should file charges.
Until then, he’ll have to forgive me for not caring about this, since he seems to exaggerate and spin things to suit his agenda.
I like Glen, he does have some thought provoking commentary, but he needs to cowboy up. Somebody kicks wine on the mother of your children, you better swing for the bleachers.
Yes, return violence for violence. That will work. Then the fat-ass who kicked over the wine will get a huge settlement from a communist stacked civil jury, and appearances on every talk program to play the victim to the Right Wing's violent attacks.
Have one of his security guys tail her and get names, addresses and from there get identity and then let a criminally bent hacker finish her off in the credit and identity markets - anonymously. You never know, she might also "be responsible" for all kinds of death threats sent to Party Members. </sarc>
According to Hlenn, he told his daughter that most of the people at the event are good people. But did even one of these ‘good people’ stand up for Glenn’s family when the harrassment took a nasty trun and the bitch behind them soaked his wife? Naw, it’s New Yawk, where hate is a daily meal.
I’m from New York, and if that’s their attitude, I’m not going back again.
Thanks, but I'll take California “
We need to get away from saying this or that can only happen in a certain place. Or that everyone in xxxx state thinks a certain way.
There are crazy people and good people everywhere.
I said I was sick and tired of California getting slammed in post after post after post. Well, guess what? This didn't happen in California, it happened in NYC. (Which, like I said, is the rudest city I have ever been in.)
I'll still take California any day. And BTW, it appears I'm not the only poster who feels that way.
Yeah, but I doubt that you'll find a decent burrito in all of NYC!
Really, we have the name of the woman? Good grief, that’s assault! Sue!
LOL
So, what is your addiction? Wait a minute, I think I know the answer..you believe in “nothing says”. Do you worship “nothing says”? You are a troll, or possibly a lawyer looking for work, get off this site.
Well I agree with you. I lived in California and find the uninformed blanket statements made about California to be silly.
I haven’t been to New York, but would expect people there to be different in many ways, but probably pretty much the same once I “decoded” the culture.
Every place has it’s own superficial quirks.
I’m not a fan of Glenn Beck, but I don’t think your assessment of the situation is at all fair. If your children were present when you were assaulted by a gang of thugs, you’d probably tend to get a bit bent out of shape about it too. Beck was once a drug addict, this is true. But I don’t think that contributes to the fact that one would feel especially emotional about having your children at the brunt of a really ugly mob scene. Instead of making his past addiction something to attack him with, how about honoring him for having the strength of character to overcome and beat his addiction? I think repentence and sincere change counts for a lot in the development of one’s character.
They went after his wife and they knew they had the numbers and they could get away with it.
But this to me is key, they have have no individual soul, very much like their collectivist mentality. After listening to the clip of him on the web it was multiple people. No one stood up and said it was wrong.
They tried to take away his voice.
It will only make him stronger....
They better go mob Obama then. He's running a record 3 wars at once. No Republican president ever managed that.
You are correct. These animals have no idea why they hate Beck other than some gross characture of him created by the mainstream media. None of these people have ever listened to Beck. But they know they hate him intensely. That's rational...not.
Glenn Beck now knows what it’s like to be a Dolphin fan in Miami when they’re playing the Jets. All the Jets fans who live here bring their thuggish lifestyles with them and take a great deal of joy at spilling beer on Miami fans and then starting fights.
I am originally from the New York City area, and I have to agree with you about what NYC has become with liberals.
Liberal outsiders move in, and they are compelled to cop the
GET OUT OF MY WAY
I’M IN YOUR FACE
THE WORLD IS MY DOORMAT, AND IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT IT’S YOU WHO HAS THE (censored) ATTITUDE PROBLEM.
I traveled on business to the South, and found civilization in Texas.
New York screams “New York is the center of the universe, and anyone from outside of New York is a hick,” yet they are the biggest hicks in the world.
Don’t knock NJ. In a poll shown on CNBC, NJ has ranked #1 in quality of life for two years. I lived there for a few months and can believe it.
American citizens have no business being in NYC or doing business with NYC.
Sometimes when people cry and we don’t understand why, it is because there is something they know about what is happening, either big picture or little picture, that we don’t know about...and maybe if we knew what he knows, we might cry too. It is a possibility.
A simplistic example is when I was a child I didn’t understand why people cry at weddings. Now, as an older person with more experiences and knowledge, it now makes sense to me that people cry at weddings.
Thats why Glenn is moving to Texas.
