They didn’t vote to convict Clinton because Gore would have become president and eligible to finish Clinton’s term, and then run on his own for the presidency. If he ran and won for a second term, he would have had something like ten years as president.

Tax people by the mile they drive, raise gas to $ 5.00 a gallon, and no more unemployment benefits, the public will want hearings.
