Palin Running for President Yet She’s the Only One Who Won’t Publicly Admit
Hollywood Today ^ | June 2, 2011 | Jeffrey Jolson

Trump calls for her candidacy.

Sarah Palin is running for President and the coy, homespun thing is wearing thin, annoying her fellow Republicans and just amusing many Democrats who smell blood if she wins the GOP nomination.

She says she is on a casual vacation, yet is headed to New Hampshire (Surprise! Home of the first primary), where she may upstage Mitt Romney, who is expected to formally enter his run today for the White House. He is arguably the GOP presidential front-runner. Especially in New Hampshire, where a CNN/WMUR poll found him to be the choice of 33 percent of potential voters there.

Yet Palin may rain on the cloud of another Republican hopeful traveling to N.H. today, former NYC mayor Rudolph Giuliani. He is testing the waters, and has to swim against the current. His speeches in his last run were constant repeats of “Remember 9/11,” which may not play as well now. Plus there are pictures of him in a dozen different dresses, which he attributes to having fun at fund-raisers. OK, we understand one or two incidents of cross-dressing in college or at a benefit, but this guy has more gowns than my sister.

The first New Hampshire debate is June 13.

Palin is in the same boat, in that the GOP seniors have grave concerns that she could not beat President Barack Obama, whose “remember 9/11” was followed up by having Osama bin-Laden killed. Obama’s polls go up and down, though he is traveling some of the roughest financial waters since the Great Depression, and will be hard to beat. Adding his oratory and fund-raising skills, plus the incumbent advantage, no wonder the Republicans are worried about who to put up to bat.

Palin may show up on a dog-sled, Obama arrives in Air Force One.

Palin’s whole strategy right now say observers, is to allow her to stand down without embarrassment if the polls don’t favor her. Not a very Presidential image. The business of no-schedule on her tour and I’m a rebel running on my own highway by my own rules is cool. But that road is filled with potholes and she is pissing people off, whom she needs for electoral votes if it ever comes down to it.

Even the press is tired of this game, they need to know where to book rooms and set up cameras. Palin’s summer vacation is turning into a winter for them, and they will be needed in a real-live election, not a publicity stunt – which is what they are increasingly thinking.

She is rolling into Boston about now after the New York City excursion where she met with Donald Trump, who has dropped out of the race. He pledged his support and called on her to go for the gold.

The press made a fuss over the location of their brunch, a pizza joint/chain in Times Square. However it is not unusual for politicians to be seen eating anything that might endear them to locals, and would eat possum or rats-on-a-stick if called for. Only thing is the chain is considered horrible by many real New Yorkers, who know their pies. What was Trump thinking?

Palin has acknowledged that she is interested in running for president, but has insisted that her unusual tour is about highlighting America’s great historic sites. Oddly enough, the historic sites coincide with the big primaries and are not fooling anyone.

She is a smart cookie and does not appear delusional, just seeing if she can get nominated without being humiliated. A tough road for that election tour bus of hers, but not nearly as tough as the final laps would be come November 2012.

Bottom line: She will not formally announce in New Hampshire, but if she can make a lot of rain to pour on the other candidates, she is definitely running for president of the United States.

No, but Jeffrey Jolson sure is delusional.

Really? Then they should do the prudent thing and go away and leave Palin alone. No one reads or views their news anymore. No one cares what they think about Palin because we already know. If she is such a loser, then cover some other event. Something tells me the Lamestream knows that Palin is the GOP race right now. This writer is a horses ass. What a crock.

She's pissing off all the right people, none of whom would consider voting for her in the first place, all of whom are busy in their hopey-changey little worlds.

This sentence tell me the writer, Jeffry Jolson, does not have writing skills that I would expect from the journalism profession:

“However it is not unusual for politicians to be seen eating anything that might endear them to locals, and would eat possum or rats-on-a-stick if called for.”

So the traditional dinosaur media thinks that the only important part of an election campaign is their travel schedule. These people are still running digital buggywhip factories.

Am I right in thinking that if Giuliani gains some publicity and a public voice before he leaves the race, that he would up talk Palin, instead of Romney, on the way out?

She eats what she wants... when she wants... the way she wants. So let the tourists with the cameras and reporter’s notebooks beware. You are on the menu.

"The business of no-schedule on her tour and I’m a rebel running on my own highway by my own rules is cool. But that road is filled with potholes and she is pissing people off, whom she needs ......"

If we play by Obama's rules in this campaign (and let's face it, he is making the rules and the MSM is playing along) then it will be impossible to win. The people she is "pissing off" won't help her in any case.

Sara, it looks like, doesn't intend to play by Obama's rules. And that's what I love about her! And those of us who truly understand what this country needs to turn this corrupt government (both parties) around, understand what Sara is doing. She is also showing us that after the election she doesn't intend to settle into the business-as-usual DC rut that most politicians adopt. She will start "making the rules" and like the message she is broadcasting on her bus...... her rules will be based on the constitution of this once GREAT NATION.

I believe Jolson is mistaken — the folks she’s “pissing off” are the folks no-one else minds pissing off. The Electoral college don’t figure into it.
