I’m near the New York blck dirt area that is the ‘sump’ of a glacial lake.
We have clay not too far down, so surface drainage is really odd.
Any time we get heavier than a light drizzle rainwise, we run the risk of becoming one of the swamp people.
Worst part: the small pond out back is full of goldfish and we don’t know when they got there.
We just know that some may have escaped during the last flood event.
