Ok, enlighten me as to what I don’t “get” about the difficulties of travel to Africa in 1961, returning with an infant.

Stanley Ann's very close friend from Mercer Island High said that SADO was meeting the in-laws in Kenya and was unable to get back to Hawaii before the baby was born. So she had the baby in Kenya and flew back BOAC to Seattle with little Barry and went to college.

Godness gracious...how do you think military and consular families with infants travelled across the globe to duty stations back then..ships and dc-3’s and dc-6’s, buses,trains, etc..San Diego had a mostly open air terminal in the 60’s with your luggage claim area under a tin roof. I’ve been in foreign countries where passenger lines were under a tree...bring your own umbrella. Rough it.
