Glen Beck announced today that his "Restoring Courage" event will be held in Israel, August 24th, at the southern wall of the Temple Mount. The event, which was first announced a few days ago, is now far more significant given Obama's speech yesterday, in which he called for Israel to return to its pre 1967 borders. This event is going to be huge, no doubt about it. And I'm wondering who will be the first GOP candidate to annonce that he, or she, will attend.
I'm undecided on this, and could be persuaded either way. FWIW I do expect that Palin, Bachman, and Cain will announce that they will attend. The others?
Romney might be there, based on his “0bama threw Israel under the bus” comment of yesterday.
I am told by a very good Jewish friend that Americans Jews hate Conservatives more than Muslims.
BTW, I will guarantee Palin for sure, the rest, I don't know. Expect West and Cain, but given the significance this has now taken on, I think this will dwarf the Restoring Honor Rally.

Agreed. I support Israel 100% but candidates for office in this country need to campaign in this country.
The process of grieving comes in stages. FIrst comes shock, then comes denial, then comes anger.
Believe me, there is a fury building, like nothing you have ever seen. We are a divided and misinformed community, with many in our leadership clueless and lost, whats new. But, tomorrow, Erev Shabbat, will be one of the most consequential dates in American Jewish history.
This is not about campaigning. This is about courage and risking your very life to protect Israel. Soon after this event, the US will be called to veto, abstain or approve Palestinian Statehood with the 1967 borders just as Obama has come out supporting. This is intended to set the table for the complete destruction of the State of Israel.
Worse, this is intended as a cynical blackmail ploy to force Jewish Leaders and Organizations to support Obama's re-election campaign with the threat of abandoning Israel if they don't bow before him.
I would hope that Gov Sarah Palin doesnt appear to give any credence to this sham...

Nana, you seem to be a dedicated anti-Mormon voice here.. and this seems to be your first priority. Other folks around here have other priorities. I am happy to see you slamming on Mitt because he deserves it, but as your animus is deeper, beware that those depths are beyond what is welcome here.
You know, this is just about exactly what I was thinking the day before yesterday. But, frankly, regardless of what you think of Beck's showmanship, he keeps being right. Thats hard to ignore. And, in August of 2011, either American's make the hugest show of support of Israel ever seen or Israel will be lost. Its a simple choice. You decide what is important to you. I know what matters to me.

He does keep being right. Beck has a great talent for stating the obvious. Anyone paying attention to what’s going on in the world knows anything Beck is going to tell you. Beck’s just found a way to make a small fortune doing it. Don’t forget to buy gold...
