An article on Esquire magazine’s website, claiming that the publisher of Jerome Corsi’s new book about President Obama’s birth certificate is pulling it from bookstores, may have been written as a parody, but not everyone is laughing.
The Esquire story, written by Mark Warren, spread across the Internet moments after being posted on the magazine’s website Wednesday morning. Esquire has said it was a joke and Warren told TheDC he has no regrets about posting it.
“He is an execrable piece of ****,” Warren said of Corsi.

There is not a single word of that report that is true. I assume it is a very poorly executed parody. In any case, I have begun exploring our legal options, since this report has all the earmarkings of a deliberate attempt at restraint of trade, not to mention libel.”
Farah complaining about someone making up stories...without a hint of irony.
well come on tex, please show us the proven false stories where he was taken to court and lost....or was forced to just recant, because of an error, not intentional malice, etc...

This was a hit piece by the scums at Esquire. Only AFTER were they exposed for the liar they are, did they then add the sarc tag.
“Ha, ha. We were kidding”. Bull (bleep).
But no matter. This is all good for Mr. Farah and Dr. Corsi.
They can turn this Esquire screw up into more good publicity and sell more books.

If it were the Onion, the parody defense might cover it. But Esquire claims for the most part to be telling the, ahem, truth. And Warren—who apparently has the legal prudence of an overheated lizard—has given clear evidence of malicious intent.
I don’t think a parady includes falsely quoting a named source to destroy the financial gain from the marketing of a legitimate product.
So Farah makes up stories? Farah has as much courage as anyone on the scene, and I have the utmost respect for the man. The “b/c” is a clear forgery, and I find it disgusting that so many conservatives cower in fear at his flank.

Exactly! I read the article earlier today and actually looked for a parody tag or something like that. Didn’t see it.
Now, they have finally tagged it as “humor” and added this ridiculous disclaimer [links omitted by me]:
