The latest case being the brilliant blogger who gave us the wonderfully snarky “Thanks Obama!” Post-It Note campaign.

That's a good point. We didn't harass that blogger although it was clearly "pimp" behavior. It was ultimately determined to be allowable because it was valuable to FR.

I know of quite a few instances where the "pimp" didn't know the rules, happily posted (and continues to post) full text and we have happy FReepers and happy bloggers.

Only the jerks get the treatment. That guy was a supreme jerk IIRC.

When they:

1. Refuse to stop pimping

2. Get mad and indignant

3. Flip out and go crazy

It can be both amusing and gratifying.
Like having a clown buy you dinner and drinks.
