a lot more people will tune in .. I agree.
Trump has been preaching in the wilderness about China and OPEC for a year, at least. Now that he's got the MSM beating a path to his door because of the 'birther' issue he's been able to get his China/OPEC licks in to a wider audience.
I wonder if Trump will criticize Obama for his latest moves to reel in gas prices. That will tell if Trump can be really an asset to provide an agreesive counterpoint to Obama's policies.
While the MSM is clamoring to get info on the 'birther' investigation Trump can get his message out on Obama's economic incompetence in between the lines.
It'll be interesting to see if Trump comes out swinging on the gas price issue.

The GOP is really, really, really, far gone when Donald Trump is more principled than they are.
Mrs. Palin has not been a leader in the restoration of respect for our Constitution, I’m sorry.
I agree with your parenthetical statement.

I think Trump's doing fine. What's the downside for him? There's no real negative publicity here.
OTOH, for him to convince me to vote for him? In a two man race with Obama, it's a no-brainer. He's got to clear whatever group of conservatives are fielded against him in the primaries, first though.
I'm all for him doing what he's doing.
Give me conservative any day, however.

I’m not scared. I just support conservatives. For me conservative principles are more important than being a blow hard.

Too many here assume he'll just beat up Obama and then go away. Why would he when he's leading all the liberal GOP primary polls? Sorry but I'm very skeptical that Trump is doing this out of the goodness of his heart and love for the country.
We all knew Obama was a disaster well before he ever got the Dem nomination or was elected. How the hell did it take Trump this long to figure it out? Especially if he's a conservative like he claims.

I don’t think he will do it, but I’m a betting guy by nature. I will give 50 50 odds. :^)
America needs to understand basic fundamentals about a President. They will be no crying allowed when the decisions are made. Yes, we are still there.

Based on this comment I assume then you think the ONLY person who can beat Obama is Donald Trump? That conservatism can’t beat Obama, only stick your finger to the wind populism can?

I think Trump has mapped out a game plan and that is attack Obama on the “birther issue” first, get all the talking points in and then, after that appitizer is through move on to the meat and potatoes, Obama and his idiotic policies and record. The “birther issue” will establish Trump's street credit. Trump was not rolled by the lame stream the way Palin was. Palin thought that the lame stream were real journalists not shoe licks with an agenda. Trump won't be rolled, he'll fire back. Anybody that thinks this is a little media flash thing for Trump is sadly mistaken. I really don't think he would waste his time this way.

You don’t need to get nasty with me.
We can agree to disagree.
But what is so ironic about your conservative purity is that Ronald Reagan wouldn’t have passed your own litmus test, and you call yourself Reagan Man.
Ronald Reagan was a Democrat for most of his early life, including being a Kennedy Democrat, and was head of a Hollywood union.
He didn’t come out as a conservative until the 64 election.
Maybe you should keep your hypocrisy in check before impugning anybody’s conservative credentials.

How the hell did it take Trump this long to figure it out? Especially if he's a conservative like he claims. Someone who gets it now versus the Republicans who also claim to be conservatives and who even now take Obama's side - they never get it. That's pretty much the rest of the possible Republican presidential candidates.
To: EternalVigilance
Shoot, where was he this year? Funding Rahm Emanuel to the tune of $50,000.00 for mayor of Chicago. Ah but don't you know that's just being a good business man? At least that's what we're told here...
