There is evidence to refute the claim that President Barack Obama was not born in Hawaii, and therefore is not eligible to be president of the United States, but "birthers" persist with their claims that Obama is in office illegally. Donald Trump is the latest to question the president's birthplace.

As for Obama's roots in Hawaii, Abercrombie told Hawaii News Now he first laid eyes on baby Barack Obama a few days after he was born. Abercrombie said Obama's parents introduced their newborn to friends at the University of Hawaii where Abercrombie was going to college with the president's father.
"We not only saw him and were with them, but were introduced to him of course at our gatherings, our student gatherings. And of course over the years then as he was raised by his mother and his grandparents we of course saw him frequently because he was with his grandfather all the time," Abercrombie added.

When Evans spoke to Abercrombie on January 19, Abercrombie reportedly told him that he searched the relevant Hawaii hospitals using his powers as governor, and concluded, according to Evans, “There is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii, absolutely no proof at all that Obama was born in Hawaii.” After Abercrombie made such a fuss about finding the birth certificate, Evans concluded of his friend that he has “got some egg in the face.”
Curiously too, when Evans asked Abercrombie when he first encountered the young Barack Obama, Abercrombie reportedly said, “I remember him playing in a T-Ball league,” when he was roughly five or six years old.
“I thought he was in another state when the bamster was born.”
I guess that depends on WHERE Obama was born but I don’t think there is any dispute that Abercrombie was in Hawaii in 1961.
Obama’s mama was in Seattle having her friend change newborn Obama’s poopy diapers because she didn’t know how. She never returned to Hawaii until after the father left for Harvard. Abercrombie never saw this baby at any student gatherings. This guy is lying out of his butt.
I thought Abercrombie was attending college elsewhere in ‘61.
No one said there is NO evidence to support the assertion that he was born in Hawaii. It's just that the evidence is insufficient and he needs to supplement it with a long-form birth certificate.
Once he does that, we can all move on.

You’re right, he finished in New York in ‘59 and came back to Hawaii.
There isn’t evidence, just hearsay. Abercrombie is obviously lying. No legal birth certificate has ever been released. The newspaper announcements show no place of birth. There’s been no legal hospital confirmation. No actual eyewitness has ever stepped forward. Even if Abercrombie did see a newborn Barry Soetoro in Hawaii, it doesn’t prove the baby was born there as Abercrombie admitted he wasn’t actually at the alleged hospital when the baby was born. So what real evidence is there???

Did you watch the video?? They edited out part of it because Abercrombie couldn’t answer immediately. You could see the wheels turning ... must tell a lie ... “Let’s be serious. It is simply reprehensible to have this kind of conversation. Insulting someone’s mother and father speaks about the person who is doing it.” Who insulted anyone’s mother and father?? We now Abercommie is lying because Anne was a student at the University of Washington after Barry was born.... she wasn’t at any student functions in Hawaii when Barak Sr was there any time after Barry’s birth.
Do like Abercrombie and explain where “here” is. Then corroborate that place of birth with a legal birth certificate. Hop to.
What is Obama so afraid of? Why does he and the media get so defensive by a legitimate question.
Yeah, because Ambercrombie, the then future Governor of Hawaii, was so precient that he took time out to lay eyes on obastard — a future President — when he was born.
And even if true, that shows how much of a farce both of their “elections” were, because there is no feasible way that could have happened if it wasn’t pre-planned.
