Some conservative commentators have applauded Donald Trump for challenging President Barack Obama on his birth certificate. Conservative author Ann Coulter isn’t one of them.
On Monday night’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, Coulter said the “birther” conspiracy has been long debunked by other conservative outlets.
“Well, I think maybe I’ve been watching too much Charlie Sheen because Donald Trump seems perfectly sane to me,” Coulter said. “I don’t know where he gets this $2 million Obama has spent to keep his birth certificate — he posted his birth certificate on his web page. I am glad that Donald Trump is bringing it up so that people who haven’t been paying attention and don’t know that the American Spectator, Human Events, Fox News – you know, every conservative outlet has already shot down this rumor, which by the way, was started by the Hillary Clinton campaign.”
Coulter said she was unclear as to why the so-called long-form birth certificate had more validity than the other birth certificate Obama has produced. She noted that reputable conservative media outlets won’t touch the story any more and it is regularly reported on by liberal outlets.
“Now they will have a chance to find out this is Donald Trump’s Pierre Salinger moment,” Coulter said. “You can’t believe everything you read on the Internet. Obama has produced his birth certificate. There were announcements that ran in two contemporaneous Hawaiian newspapers at that time. The head of the Hawaiian medical record has announced I have seen the long-form you all want. I don’t know why the long form is considered more credible than the short form. They are both from the same office. The State Department accepts the short form or as we call it the birth certificate. Hawaii accepts the birth certificate short form. So, I mean, it is a conspiracy theory that won’t die on the Internet, but every responsible, conservative organization to look at it and shot it down, which is why you hear it being talked about exclusively on the liberal cable stations.”

you know, i am agreeing with you here. i am a huge coulter fan, but wow has she veered left in the last year or so or are my lying eyes/ears playing tricks on me?
Obamma's lifelong actions, ambitions, associations, motives, real stated goals versus revised ones for sale to the public, family disfunction, foreign influence, religious indifference toward all but one, and proclivity for lies and deceit have shown me exactly who the guy is. I know who he listens to. I know who his bosses are.

She's wound up on the wrong side of issues that are important to me, far too often in the last couple of years. But her moronic statements about Obama's bc are a new kind of low. They're intellectually vapid, and completely dishonest.

I don’t trust Trump on this issue. He was a huge supporter of Hillary Clinton and has given Rahm Emanuel money for his mayoral race. He’s also had ties with Soros.
Trump is purposefully saying things that conservatives want to hear. If we ignore his past associations and contributions, and continue to support him, we will be no better than Obama supporters.
The younger Ann Coulter from a year or more ago would want us to apply her beautifully crafted habits of logical criticism to the older Ann Coulter of today.
I think she is handling this topic the right way. If Coulter comes out and jumps on board with Trump it will peel away the credibility Trump has gained from the citizens. Coulter is a polarizing figure and if she starts to side with Trump it will make many think its a crazy right-wing idea. Trump has single handedly pushed Obama against the wall. Above any other national or international story this one is the lead. Obama will be forced to answer the BC question, because it is not going away. It has outlasted the Japanese disaster, Libya and the budget deal. To Power Up you have to Trump It.

Which leads to the inevitable question of whether this was by design. Back during the primary Dame Hillary was the front runner since 2004 and nobody even knew who BO was until people started fainting at his speeches. Then he was pumped up to near godhood by the slavish press and he rode the wave all the way to the White House. His policies and the shove it down your throat methodology caused the Tea Parties to rise up so the Leftist Revolutionaries thought they could get their riots in the streets that would allow them to declare martial law and "stop the violence" they had promulgated. The riots from the Right have not happened.
Could the Left have put their puppet in office just for this moment? Could the Soros crowd be waiting to reveal the BC proving that BO is illegally in office so it will be the riot trigger they have been wanting?
I know this makes me sound like Glenn Beck's insane cousin but with this bunch any wacko theory seems plausible.

I question whether Brooks and Frum were ever conservatives. Noonan realizes that she must please her liberal masters or be “on the street.” Both Noonan and Coulter are insanely jealous of Sarah Palin.

Oh, I’m sure design has everything to do with it. The big question is Who is the designer? Quite a few possibilities there and Soros certainly is one of the better ‘candidates’ for that ‘honor.’
