Some conservative commentators have applauded Donald Trump for challenging President Barack Obama on his birth certificate. Conservative author Ann Coulter isn’t one of them.
On Monday night’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, Coulter said the “birther” conspiracy has been long debunked by other conservative outlets.
“Well, I think maybe I’ve been watching too much Charlie Sheen because Donald Trump seems perfectly sane to me,” Coulter said. “I don’t know where he gets this $2 million Obama has spent to keep his birth certificate — he posted his birth certificate on his web page. I am glad that Donald Trump is bringing it up so that people who haven’t been paying attention and don’t know that the American Spectator, Human Events, Fox News – you know, every conservative outlet has already shot down this rumor, which by the way, was started by the Hillary Clinton campaign.”
Coulter said she was unclear as to why the so-called long-form birth certificate had more validity than the other birth certificate Obama has produced. She noted that reputable conservative media outlets won’t touch the story any more and it is regularly reported on by liberal outlets.
“Now they will have a chance to find out this is Donald Trump’s Pierre Salinger moment,” Coulter said. “You can’t believe everything you read on the Internet. Obama has produced his birth certificate. There were announcements that ran in two contemporaneous Hawaiian newspapers at that time. The head of the Hawaiian medical record has announced I have seen the long-form you all want. I don’t know why the long form is considered more credible than the short form. They are both from the same office. The State Department accepts the short form or as we call it the birth certificate. Hawaii accepts the birth certificate short form. So, I mean, it is a conspiracy theory that won’t die on the Internet, but every responsible, conservative organization to look at it and shot it down, which is why you hear it being talked about exclusively on the liberal cable stations.”

Which is exactly why I said that Coulter is destroying her conservative credibility on this issue by drinking the Obama Kool-Aid.
Coulter has shown in the past that she has a superior intellect, and has the ability and tenacity to look much harder and deeper at things than the average bear. For her to go on national television and parrot the idiocy of the left about the bc issue, undermines the high regard which many of us have had for her in the past.
Ann has missed the side of the barn on this one. She's apparently unaware of even the most fundamental aspects of 'what's wrong with this picture.' For one, I can't believe that she didn't even bring up the NBC issue. It's appalling that someone who has made their reputation as a conservative investigative reporter of the first order, to be so ill-informed.
So, you've looked high and low, yet missed the fact that the state of Texas requires a LFBC to establish identity when applying for a driver's license?

I believe the above wouldn’t happen to the extent Progressives would hope and desire. Cloward-Piven will be devastated by the failure.
Why? Because the majority of people in this nation do not support or trust Obama.
When the evidence that Obama is a con artist finally outs him and can no longer be disputed, those few who would riot will find it thuds.
If people are holding back on the truth because they fear riots in black-dominated parts of the nation, then they haven’t been paying attention: many of those areas are experiencing middle-class flight towards regions of the nation which are definitely red.
No doubt many of those folks are proud that a black man is President, but when it comes to their wallet, voting with one’s feet is as popular as ever. These people will be disappointed, maybe bitter, but they will not riot.
To me it’s even worse than that! In my mind, anyone that’s too terrified of “riots” to actually support the Constitution is a coward and deserves the fate they’ll receive in the end anyway. That’s the fate they’ll have delivered onto them once the “rioters” realize they can punk them like they would a cell-mate.
I’m not Americas inner city’s cell-mate. I will not be punked.
OK, here’s why I think I may be right. There was a post today here on FR from Townhall.com on what could happen if the US went bankrupt. It included the following passage:

It is my belief that the part about “little faith in leaders” is exactly what will bring the whole shooting match on, figuratively (hopefully not literally).
When Obama is ultimately exposed, there will be plenty of fallout on the Republican side because of their desire to ignore the problem at best. Many believe they are an active partner in the problem.
It has happened in Germany, it has happened in other countries. We are no different and not immune.
The reason I think it could expand throughout the world is that, to put it bluntly, the rest of the planet can’t wipe without the US being there to provide and tear off the paper. Once we go completely to hell, an unfettered Arab world attacks Israel, China goes after Taiwan, N.Korea hits the South...Planet Road Warrior.
I don’t want to sound like the guy with the sandwich board saying “the end is neigh!” but to me it certainly seems a possibility.
This information and link below may be the information Donald Trump is uncovering in Hawaii. It is explosive! People have committed treason and all kinds of felonies. I suspect it has the power to shut Liberals up - big time!
Note to Norm: if the country goes bankrupt, riots will happen whether Obama is in office or not. Frankly, I think the majority of folks won’t become violent; the violence prone will be only those who cannot imagine life without government caring for them.

Just to clarify my assertions, when I talk about rioting, I don’t mean just, or even mostly Black people by any means. In fact, I think there will be far more white Democrat libs/anarchist types rioting than anyone.

True. The scenario I mention would only be one part of the total picture, but a guaranteed one. My God, you mix that in with the radical libs/anarchist you mention and the big picture gets very ugly real quick. The bigger cities will be hellacious right off the bat...
I’m reading it now and it certainly appears that if proven true, Nancy Pelosi (and many more) will be giving Benedict Arnold company in the annals of American history. I can’t even imagine where Obama will end up.

Yup. Look at Wisconsin. That’s one ‘little’ (in the big picture sense) problem. Tens of thousands in the street, Statehouse takeover, Police siding with thugs, Death threats against elected officials, violence toward media and ‘opponents’ of the cause (small scale violence but still very real).
Picture that in every major city when the unions and their membership suddenly realize the ride is over...The student anarchists at every college...
Are the police gonna do their job or side with rioters like in Wisc? They ARE mostly all union (90% or so)

My nephew is in little league and they used a short form certificate to get him in, because that's what the Vital Records Office gave them. The Little League people actually let them scan the document and email it to them.

I think this is something that can be said about virtually everyone who dismisses the subject. They don't know the facts, and it's glaringly obvious as soon as they present their "arguments" for "moving on." They're uncomfortable with the subject--to the degree, I believe, that even if it were proven that Obama was not born in the United States or was using a phony SSN, they would STILL not want to pursue the matter.
Shame on all of them. It's one thing to not know the facts of an issue and quite another to mock those who raise questions about an issue you know nothing about. The former is understandable, the latter is disgraceful.
