Fabulous straight talk from Trump. The reporter learns that The Donald does not suffer fools.

Interview highlights: Thanks Palin; Says, if he were POTUS, we would take Iraq's oil and compensate our allies; Would not allow Iran to take over Iraq; Would impose 25% duty on Chinese imports.

Running as a spoiler, however, doesn’t jive with his personality.

He does things to win, not to help someone else. I suppose he could serve his own interests by doing this, but it just doesn’t make sense.

I think he truly wants to be President.

Your Freepname is accurate.

Here’s my $0.02. Trump will run only if he can win, and only TO win. He’s not going to be someone else’s stalking horse, that’s not what he does.

He’s throwing this out there on purpose, and it’s not to get Obama re-elected. In fact, if polling were to show that an Independent run by The Donald would re-elect Obama, he wouldn’t do it, if only because that means he himself would lose, and Trump doesn’t do things if he knows he’s not going to win.

Soften it by the passage of time if you wish. The undeniable truth is...it's part of Trump's background. It warrants scrutiny... just as RomneyCare dogs Mitt Romney and Bill Ayers was part of 0bama's life.

Who in the world said anything at all about not checking into or vetting Mr. Trump? I certainly didn't. But until he becomes an official candidate - which he is not - there is no great and compelling reason to perform this necessary task....unless you would prefer that we all treat Mr. Trump in the same manner that SP was treated???
I might also mention that while Romney-care dogs Romney almost to his ruin, the fact that the stain is intimately connected with the bomb-thrower Ayres makes no difference whatsoever. The stain is in office....and was never EVER vetted as he should have been. I don't believe any rightwing candidate (or private citizen that you don't care for) will ever enjoy such a "free pass". Perhaps if we'd have used your methods, the stain would not be illegally in the "white house"??

We're just going to have agree to disagree on this. You're obviously a fan of Trump's and I'm not. Under no circumstances will Donald Trump ever get my vote.

Who in the world said I was a fan of Mr. Trump? I'm simply ascerting that he has every right - as a private citizen - to make his views known and to critique severely the issues surrounding the stain and his foreign birth (until proven otherwise).

In the event Mr. Trump wins the nomination, I'd vote for him in a second over either 1) voting for the stain, or 2) not voting at all.

In a second.

I’m just repeating the mantra around here, trying to show that any time you focus on a single issue, you start to lose all definition of “conservative,” whether it’s immigration, birth certificate, or whatever. On the other hand, the fact that so many so-called conservatives will NOT address the BC issue is quite disconcerting. And one could guess that the BC issue is hiding much larger problems and that in fact Obama could NOT get re-elected if it comes out.

BINGO!

I believe the Trumpster is about five steps ahead of most of those on this site....most of those sitting idly by watching....most of those who've made up their minds to vote for the stain come hell or high water....and most of those who are handlers of the stain.

Well....he's a private citizen. He has a right to say what he thinks and critique the current occupant of the white house.

Unless I'm mistaken, he has NOT officially or even unofficially stated that he is - in fact - a candidate for President of the US.

But...if he does decide to run....watch out! It's going to be one hell of a race. Bear in mind. Donald does not like to lose...in fact he hates it with a passion. And...he isn't a politician. He does not have to "watch what he says" or "play nice" or "spin the facts" or use "weasel words"....he'll say what he means and he'll mean what he says.
In the political sense, they really can't hurt him. They can try to belittle, denigrate, insult, and attack him, but I don't think that will get them very far. Just look at what happened to "Poofy" when he was selected by the stain's handlers to fire the first shot across Donald's bow!!

Look what Freepers are doing to the guy:

-A third want him to run and will crawl over coals to vote for him

-Another third think he’s a stalking horse for Hillary or Obama (or Soros, the latest twist on this)

-Another third think he’s just promoting himself

Personally, I think he’s as serious as a heart attack this time - he wants Obama out, and he wants to be the man to do it.

It’s just not The Donald’s personality to do this though.

He doesn’t play games to help someone else win, he plays them so HE can win.

If it were anyone else I’d agree...but not this guy. I’ve followed him for a long time, I’ve read his books too. His personality doesn’t lend itself to doing this for someone else’s benefit.

In this one respect...I fully support Mr. Trump (I guess that places me in the 1/3rd group!!!). Anything to eradicate the stain.

It’s a fantasy at this point, but can you imagine the pained look on the face of some CNN anchor in November of 2012 as they have to call the election for Trump?

That alone would be worth all of it.

Trump was a strong supporter of HELLry and he may be her stalking horse to wound Ozero so HELLry wins the d-rat nomination.

I like Trump exposing the BC and Rezko issues but I still don’t trust him - at best he’s a RINO.

Well, why not just sit back and enjoy the show?

Nobody has declared anything yet.

I posted this elsewhere but it’s worth repeating.

I’ve read his books and followed him over the years. He’s pretty consistent on a few key issues, such as foreign policy, trade, and overall fiscal viewpoint, save for his brain fart on nationalized healthcare, which he seems to have given up in favor of allowing insurance across state lines.

He hasn’t flipped as much as we think. He’s a typical non-political business type who only cares about a few issues and has relatively little ideology otherwise, but he seems to have had an awakening the last couple years, thanks to Obama.

Forget he’s a businessman and media personality for a minute, and forget he’s filthy rich.

Doesn’t he now sound like a lot of people we all know? People who vote, swing voters in many cases, who were always somewhat conservative, but never gave it enough thought to truly know what they were, until recently, when they saw the damage Obama was doing? Isn’t that how the Tea Party movement got started?

Trump is the ultimate tea partier.

I have the funny feeling that this is your "attempt" at sarcasm???

If so....just a few points of reality....

1. Mr. Trump is still a private citizen; he has not officially or unofficially made any statement whatsoever that he is a candidate for the office of President of the US.

2. Mr. Trum[p said he MIGHT run as an Independent candidate should it happen that he does not gain the nomination of the rino/repub/conserv/tparty ....ahh...party!

It would appear that you've gone and gotten your panties in a wad over speculation...

In that regard, you are exactly like the stain and his handlers at this point. Confused, angry, jumpy, and ready to attack anything and everything the Trumpster says and does...yet without any substance or reality at all.

Let's all just back off a bit and let Mr. Trump does what apparently he does quite well....antagonize, anger, upset, and generaly drive crazy....the left.

Trump will have to answer for this statement if he enters the Rep primary. I bet he distances himself from that.

And what is it that he’s doing right now that puts him at risk of losing his entire fortune?

Reputation is relative...

Making accusations could be called slander.

Trump could win the Republican Nomination. He just had to hand out enough payola. The GOP is spineless.

Sure. It could be.

I don't see Donald Trump "losing his entire fortune" over what he's doing now.

Not gonna happen.
