The question now is, why did Mary, in later interviews, go along with it? Why the need to turn Anna Obama into SAD?
Reason of course is that Charlette was on the task of wiping Anna Obama off the record in Seattle and turning her into Stanley Ann.
But that in turn leads to the next question of why they cared? Your earlier question about the order--it would be better if the U of W transcript had come to light first; is correct.
The actual order does leave open the possibility that they created the transcript record to support the fairy tale.
But if you assume the transcript is a real record, the only explanation that occurs to me is that both Anna and Stanley Ann were there at the same time and if you didn't turn them into one person, there was a risk that someone would figure out there were two of them. In part, because Stanley Ann was in fact at the U and Anna was not. That's just raw speculation and there may be some other reasonable explanation.
That observation does make me look at the chat-club conversation in an entirely new light.

Interesting inquiry. If Stanley Ann Dunham was living on Capitol Hill that means our next President Barack Obama also lived on Capitol Hill as an infant. (Interesting he is going from Capitol Hill to Capitol Hill). If the time period was from around March 1962 to at least September 1962 then Barack Obama would have been around 7 months old.
There is a possiblity if Ann signed on with UW as a student that UW Housing may have records.

Babysitter of Barack was Mary Toutonghi who now lives in Alaska. She lived right below Ann and Barack. The name Toutonghi is listed in the city directory as residents of 516 13th Ave E, an address which is also confirmed by the Univ. of WA as the residence given by Ann Dunham Obama when she registered.

Her birthdate is in NOVEMBER 1942.
After the war, Mr Payne went to college in Kansas, and then on to graduate school at the University of Chicago.
He later specialised in the use of computers in libraries, retiring at the age of 70 as the assistant director of the University of Chicago Library.
