The top photo he looks to be 2 1/2 to 3. Houses in HI often are above the ground like that, with boards (at least the houses built some decades ago). The plant looks like a Hawaiian type plant, but I can’t put a name to it. Having an outside wash tub like that was or is common in HI.
Is there any record of Stanley Ann living in a house? The top photo is definitely not an apartment but a house. The bottom photo looks like HI - white sand, coconut palms. He looks about 4 in the bottom photo, to 4 1/2 or so.

Top picture; looks to me, like what is a typical - in many island (and elsewhere) areas - ‘wash’ center in back of house. Cabinet to left of outdoor sink, holds soap etc.
Point was, if you had to, you could make it look like Barry (age 3 to 4 in those I would guess) grew up in Hawaii no matter where he was, including Chicago. That does not mean I dispute your idea that he showed up in Hawaii around age 3.
In response to your point, I would say that trying to figure out details of his life by relying on details provided by the photos may not have a lot of value either. The photos, after all, have been provided by the very same people who perpetrated this putrid fraud.
HOW old was he when we FIRST see images of him in what we take to be Hawaii?

You sure about that being Hawaii? Look at the building in the background. It looks more ME/Africa to me. There seems to be some design on the window if that could be seen clearly. Someone who has the proper software might be able to pull out the name on the building - see there by his left foot. Can the colors of the two flags be brought out? I've done a quick search of historical buildings in Mombasa and Honolulu but didn't see anything close but that building could be anywhere.
