the money quote here;
Let me say first, that in a perfect world, the very idea of a man like Trump running for the presidency, on either party’s ticket, would be unthinkable.
If I could see anything in my entire life it would be, "Barack, YOU'RE FIRED!!!"
It would be a gross understatement to describe The View as Obama-friendly. Yet just this past week while making an appearance on it, Trump did what no other Republican, much less a Republican with presidential aspirations, would so much as think of doing: he unabashedly expressed his skepticism concerning Obama's birth certificate. With a single utterance, the Donald in effect legitimized a group of people whose concern for this very same issue earned them the scornful name of "birthers" and rendered them a collective object of derision by left-wing pundits as well as such "respectable" right-leaning personalities as Bill O'Reilly and Michael Medved. And what Trump did for this issue, he will be able to do with any number of issues that McCain and the GOP establishment sought (and continue to seek) to avoid like the plague.
The latest straw poll reported here on FR shows the whole pubbie field is vulnable, with Palin leading at 16.9%, followed by Paul at 16%, and the othe eight or nine trailing off with smaller numbers. Trump's impact in a debate with those people when he brings up the whole legitimacy issue would be devastating and immediately propel him to the head of the pack. In turn, all of the other GOP candidates would have to address the issue and one or more, from sheer oportunism, if nothing else, would end up challenging the Illegal's legitimacy. Thus, for that reason alone, I will support Trump in everhy straw poll and mahy well contribute to him.
We certainly aren’t going to move the country back to the right with a man like Trump. He talks a good game but for the most part he says very little.
When he says we’ll get the oil from Iraq, how does he think we’ll do it? We can’t just seize contracts held by other nations. When he says we’ll pick and choose which illegals get amnesty, who does the choosing and exactly who are the best people who should be allowed to break the law?
I see two guys who could win this thing coming up, that being Christie who would have to be drafted into it, and Trump, and the surer shot is Trump. This is a breath of fresh air like nobody’s seen in over a hundred years.
What a complete joke! Trump is NOT conservative. He is the only one I can think of who has an ego as big as Obama. Are we going to give up on our conservative ideals so quick because he is agreeing with the birth certificate deal?

Trump’s saying things that have to be said, and I am all for that. After he slammed George Bush last week, however, I will NEVER consider voting for him.
This is a mumbo jumbo article. I couldn’t make sense of it...because there was none.
Yeah, I've seen the 'art of governing' firsthand, as a fed gov contractor. Done by the hands of a liberal bureaucrat, that 'art' is kindergarten finger-painting. Only a faux intellectual, such as the writer of this piece, would make the mistake of confusing "citizens as employees". That's the mindset we have now in B-HO and his wife. No, Trump would be quite clear who the 'employees' are - and who they serve.
Trump looks like Reagan compared to The Kenyan.
