Who knew The Donald would become king of the birthers? The real estate mogul has embarked on a certificate-finding mission as of late, demanding that President Obama release proof of his being born in the U.S.
“All of a sudden, a lot of facts are emerging and I’m starting to wonder myself whether or not [Obama] was born in this country,” he says.
Trump released what he said was his birth certificate to the website Newsmax.com, which Ben Smith later noted was not actually his birth certificate but rather a hospital “certificate of birth” which doesn’t count as an official document.
With his rampant birtherism, is it time for the media to stop taking Donald Trump seriously as a 2012 presidential contender? Or is his catering to the birthers a smart political strategy in the GOP primary season? A new CNN poll says 43% of Republicans believe President Obama was not born in the U.S.

It is not time to stop taking Donald Trump seriously as a presidential contender because he should not have been taken seriously in the first place. Trump is simply self-promoting and he will stop this joke of a trial balloon when his marketing people tell him it is hurting his casino business.
Trump’s newfound birtherism is nothing more than a cheap machination from Roger Stone, who nobody in the political world takes seriously anymore other than Trump. And Trump does not have the money – he is as heavily leveraged as he always has been and the real estate business is still in the doldrums. Again, it’s not *where* he was born, it’s his dual citizenship that makes him ineligible. Presumably, the long form BC would show his father and his father’s British citizenship status.
Dual citizenship explains his 1980 trip to Pakistan (off limits to American citizens at the time) and college records would no doubt show foreign student status.

And anyone who has watched “The Apprentice” knows that Trump gets visibly annoyed at people who don’t stand up for themselves.

No other potential R candidate can touch the birther issue. They would immediately be firebombed by the MSM as crazy / stupid / fringe / extremist. Letterman, Maher, Stewart and Colbert would serve up nightly “nutball” jokes about them. They would be Palined, and their career would be over.

IMO Trump is cynically using this issue, which is his alone, to gain traction with the base. I don’t mind because the issue angers and terrifies liberals.

That's why I'm glad someone else is getting ink these days. Takes the heat of the Governor. The popularity of Trump is coming from the same place as the popularity of Christie. People want competence and toughness. They see those qualities in both these guys.

The “powers” did not chose Obama. They being the media, george soros, leftist groups and businesses of all types and even liberal voters. These “powers” are still not powerful enough to simply chose a president and elect him. There are way too many factors involved.
Obama was just at the right place and the right time. The media saw a chance to get a real died in the wool socialist elected so they jumped on board. The birth certificate issue was an after thought because no one in the media or the Demacrat party saw the Obama surge coming. They were as caught by surprise as everyone else. This is the reason the birth certificate and all his other records are so obviously being concealed to hide his past. There simply was not enough time to cover things up nicely. By the time the media realized Obama had a chance to be elected it was too late to scrub his records.
Obama is proof of an open conspiracy with the media and the left.
Trump is a businessman but he is also a PATRIOT and he is doing us all a great favor. Now what we need is someone else to have the balls to support him. If Gingrich or Palin or any other potential candidate would hold a simple press conference and show their birth certificate and link to their other personal records on the campaign website Obama would be in an inescapable position. This would be so simple to do as the candidate would not even have to say anything about Obama, just show their birth certificate to prove they themselves are eligible. We just need to set a president that Obama would be forced to follow.
Now you may ask what would happen if our candidates did just this? What would Obama do? The answer is simple.
He would simply not run in 2012 and we will never see his birth certificate. I’m ok with this myself as the country is rid of him and no one will be able to pull something like this off again.

Let's see - he wants to go after the Chi-Coms. Yea, that's not (R). He wants to set the OPECers back & start drilling. Don't see the (R)s pushing hard for this be it that they talk but no action. He's pro-life, wants job creation & I believe tax relief. Now, if he would just close to boarders & stop illegal payments he would fit this conservatives agenda.

It appears the problem is not that there is no birth certificate. Instead, it appears Obama has too many birth certificates, just as he has too many social security numbers!
Obama’s original birth certificate appears to be for his actual birth in Mombasa, Kenya.
It appears highly likely Obama also obtained another birth certificate from the State of Hawaii, when a family member such as his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, likely filed a fraudulent birth registration. Hawaii permitted a child born in a foreign nation such as Kenya to be reported as the child of Hawaiian citizens or residents within certain limited requirements. Since the legal father, Barack Hussein Obama I did not meet or comply with those requirements for citizenship and/or residency in Hawaii, such a birth registration for the child must be fraudulent and illegal. The filing of the fraudulent Hawaiian birth registration by someone in the family explains how the two Hawaiian newspapers published the birth announcement as a routine procedure using the daily reports from the Hawaiian Health Department's vital statistics reports.
Upon Stanley Ann (Dunham) Obama’s divorce and re-marriage to Lolo Soetoro, there is reported to have been an adoption of the child by the step-father, Lolo Soetoro. It would appear necessary that such an adoption should have resulted in the fraudulent Hawaiian birth registration and Hawaiian birth certificate being permanently sealed by order of the court approving the adoption, and a new Hawaiian birth certificate being issued giving the adopted child's name as something like Barry Soetoro.
Circumstantial evidence suggests the secrecy surrounding the apparently forged Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth (COLB), numerous fraudulent social security numbers, forged draft registration card, Kenyan birth certificate, tampered State Department passport files, and other documents is due to a need to hide the information to be found in the genuine and the fraudulent documents. Unless something had been done to lawfully change the birth certificate record established with the adoption, the name on the Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) shown to the news media should have had the name Barry Soetoro or its equivalent, and not the Barack Hussein Obama name used on the Kenyan birth Certificate and on the obviously forged Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) shown to the news media.
Yep for whatever reason Trump is doing the country a favor. With any luck he will either hound BHO to produce a long form BC which IMO does not exist or hound him out of the 2012 race.
