We don’t live in a communist country where jobs are assigned according to intellect or bulk. Police and firefighters weren’t drafted. If you chose to be one, I applaud you but that being said, that doesn’t mean you get to tell us how much you get paid because you chose a job that potentially puts your life in peril. If it’s not worth the risk, I wouldn’t blame you at all if you walked, but this job safety-guilt trip sh-- is starting to fall on deaf ears.

The next time that someone in a public-sector union tries to use private-sector union grievances to justify their actions, I really wish someone would ask them specifically how the government is an abusive employer.

Follow-up question: Please give examples as to how you were personally abused by the government, or what abuse by the government you think you were protected from by unionizing.

Wow, I go out for a few hours and bitching about how I chose to distribute my column is the hot topic. Like I do this three times a week.

As noted, I’ve been doing this for over eight years and Jim’s never said anything to me about it and as it’s his site, he makes the rules and enforces them as he wishes; not people who believe they can anonymously talk down to others and dictate.

Until told otherwise, I will share my posts as I’ve always done and if you don’t like it, don’t read it.
