That blog is lying. The trip was in 1984, and Obama didn't go: During the 2008 presidential campaign, Wright himself noted the trip could cause problems for Obama. IMHO Having ties to people funded by Gadaffi wouldn't rise to an impeachable offense, but it would be embarassing to the regime and it does explain a lot.

In July 1987 there was a meeting held in Chicago of the World Islamic Peoples Congress. The organization’s president was Qaddafi (who did not appear) and its Vice President was Louis Farrakhan who served as host. I would wager that if you could find the attendance records you would find both Wright and Obama attended the conference.
