Yesterday we guessed at reasons why President Obama has had trepidation with dealing with Libya. We considered the fact that Rev. Jeremiah Wright was tied to Gaddafi and we even considered the fact that the White House could not spell "Libya." Another possibility: Obama was afraid that Gaddafi would tell the world that they were pals.
Now, obviously, there is no way to confirm that Gaddafi and Obama are actually friends unless the President comes out and says it, but we can sure report what Gaddafi said last year.
To quote Gaddafi:
"Now, ruling America is a black man from our continent, an African from Arab descent, from Muslim descent, and this is something we never imagined that from Reagan we would get to Barakeh Obama."
Great. One of our President's biggest followers is a soon-to-be-deposed, iron-fisted ruler who kills protesters in his streets.
The article continues:
Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi considers the US president a blessing to the Muslim world. In a speech published in London-based al-Hayat newspaper on Saturday, Gaddafi praised Barack Obama, called him a "friend" and said there is no longer any dispute between his country and the US.
Speaking in the Libyan city of Sirt at an event marking the 24th anniversary of an American attack on Libya, he said, "At the time, we were the target of the American cannon, the American navy challenged us in the gulf of Sirt and attacked us all along Libya's shores. America tested Libya, and the Libyan people resisted the large country, but today, thank God, the difference is great..."
Gaddafi stressed that Obama's presidency is "a major historical gain" and said, "He is someone I consider a friend. He knows he is a son of Africa. Regardless of his African belonging, he is of Arab Sudanese descent, or of Muslim descent. He is a man whose policy should be supported, and he should be assisted in implementing it in any way possible, since he is now leaning towards peace."
He continued, "I urge all peoples to give him this chance and to support this policy, because America is a country that, when its policy is bad harms the world, and when it is good it helps the world."
and the friend of my enemy is....what?
And with friends like Zero, who needs enemas?
Wasn’t Farakahn a big supporter of Kadaffy back in the day? Also isn’t Rev Wrights church kind of a haven for Farakahn supporters? In any event it seemed really odd how Barry “pox be upon him” Soetoro got right out in front of overthrowing Mubarick (sp?) in Egypt but was strangely silent about Libya. If the day ever comes when Ahmadinnerjacket in Iran is being overthrown I wonder what Barry’s reaction will be.
0bama's friends include
Cesar Chavez
Fidel Castro
mohammar Gaddafi
and some guy name Beelzebub
I think the Saudis are worried that theyre encircled Iraq, Syria, Lebanon; Yemen is unstable; Bahrain is very uncertain. They worry that the region is ripe for Iranian exploitation. Iran has shown that it is very capable of taking advantage of regional instability.
-- Ali Reza Nader, an expert in international affairs with the RAND Corporation, talking to the New York Times
"President Obama announced Thursday that he has asked his administration to prepare the full range of options in confronting Libyan despot Col. Muammar al-Qaddafi, presently slaughtering his citizens as a civil war grips his nation."
"There are ample U.S. military resources in the Middle East and the Mediterranean for a strike against Qaddafis army, built with petro bucks but divided by the same ethnic and regional divisions that are now rending the nation. The Pentagon probably could prepare some options for crippling Qaddafis military on the back of an envelope on the ride over to the White House."
Ghaddafi speaks the truth. There are many ties between the two, mostly between Barry’s mentor, Jeremiah Wright. Good articles about this at WND and this one at Fox:

Why Gaddafi’s Now a Good Guy

(Rev. Wright in the NYT 2007)
In Mondays interview, Mr. Wright expressed disappointment but no surprise that Mr. Obama might try to play down their connection.
When his enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli to visit Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, Mr. Wright recalled, with Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell. Mr. Wright added that his trip implied no endorsement of either Louis Farrakhans views or Qaddafis.
Mr. Wright said that in the phone conversation in which Mr. Obama disinvited him from a role in the announcement, Mr. Obama cited an article in Rolling Stone, The Radical Roots of Barack Obama.
According to the pastor, Mr. Obama then told him, You can get kind of rough in the sermons, so what weve decided is that its best for you not to be out there in public.
If this ever came out I wouldn't be the least bit shocked. I'd love to see someone like Glen Beck dig into this angle. I don't think he'd even want to touch it.
I always wondered how this supposed "middle class Kansas family" can afford to send their unwed daughter's son to all the top schools all the way back to grade school, yet there's no paper trail, and no former classmates or teachers who remember him. I think that's a bigger question than the missing birth certificate.

If you can’t find evidence of it, just make it up, and call it humor, like the left always do. Fake some quotes and call it parody

As Gaddafi sees it, Libya's nuke program gave him some much-needed leverage in his dealings with Washington. The bargain gave each what they needed: Gaddafi is a pariah no more, and the Bush administration has a success story in the Middle East-
Another important factor was the rise of Islamic fundamentalists in the Middle East, which resulted in extremist attacks in Libya and against Gaddafi personally.[this is also important]
As I said enemies and friends change depending on the time of a given crisis and the administration--Reagan called him 'a mad dog'.
