And lest we forget, a thread is definitely in order when the 175th anniversary of Texas Indpendence Day arrives on March 2, not far from now.

Since I'm still a hapless n00b and don't have much tenure here, I'm hoping that one of the FR stalwarts of longstanding will post a prominent article to honor that event. This was my very post ever here and I likely botched it in some way so I'll defer to someone with more gravitas for that. :-)
