I remember Karl Rove or some other such RINO sell out making the point that in doing the TV show Sarah Palins Alaska, Mrs Palin had put her ability to win the Presidency further in doubt because it somehow diminished her gravitas, evidently an important component in becoming a President.
I would have thought if gravitas was a serious issue, the last person wed be thinking of as President would be Donald Trump. He walks around looking like hes got a bleached animals carcass on his head. He was patron and star of a silly reality show that IMHO has a threshold of dignity far below that of Sarah Palins Alaska. He has also made appearances as a caricatured version of himself in television series and films- Home Alone 2, Lost in New York, The Nanny, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Days of our Lives. Mostly the worst kind of trashy entertainment.
Trump is a known World Wrestling Entertainment fan. He has hosted two WrestleMania events in the Trump Plaza and has been an active participant in several of the shows. World Wrestling is well known for its gravitas.

Donald Trump makes the Republican Party even more of a joke than it already is. And that ain’t easy.
Do you have some quotes and or writings which indicate this to be true?
I am asking because I have heard he has the exact opposite stance on both of these issues (albeit, ALSO without quotes or writings which back up the claim).
And yet Ronald Reagan did both Movies AND TV.
Didn’t see any ‘gravitas’ diminish there.
That reality series of Palin’s showed more gravitas than all politicians combined.
I would hope Trump would be thought of before Carrot Top
Trump isn’t pro-life.

Pro-choice, but ban partial birth abortion
I support a womans right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures. When Tim Russert asked me on Meet the Press if I would ban partial-birth abortion, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would support a ban.

Favors abortion rights bur respects opposition
Trump clarified his views on abortion, saying he favors abortion rights, but respects those who oppose his position. I believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors, he said.

Not even worth typing on this post, he is not going to run, this is idiotic.
Not even worth typing on this post, he is not going to run, this is idiotic.
He is also NOT against gun control- he is a wiffle ball on that issue.
http://ontheissues.org/Celeb/Donald_Trump_Gun_Control.htm
Dems and Reps are both wrong on guns
Its often argued that the American murder rate is high because guns are more available here than in other countries. Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a dumb idea because only the law-abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would be the only ones left armed. The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions.

For assault weapon ban, waiting period, & background check
I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With todays Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.

Yep, all we need is The Donald and the rent’s-too-damned-high guy to round out the early GOP debates as pure comedy.
Yes but Ron never had a silly bad comb over and a stupid fake TV show.
Yeh I think we could use The Donald in some other capacity than President. Maybe US trade envoy.
Our objective [should be] to make reforms for the moment and, longer term, to find an equivalent of the single-payer plan that is affordable, well-administered, and provides freedom of choice. Possible? The good news is, yes. There is already a system in place-the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program-that can act as a guide for all healthcare reform. It operates through a centralized agency that offers considerable range of choice. While this is a government program, it is also very much market-based. It allows 620 private insurance companies to compete for this market. Once a year participants can choose from plans which vary in benefits and costs.
trump??? Heck just elect Tony Soprano and get the real deal.

“Donald Trump as President? What about the Gravitas?”
“O” is living proof that NO ONE needs ‘gravitas’ or ANYTHING else, to be President!!
True..
Is it past “gravitas” that has brought the USA to the circumstances we now face?
