Having monitored the news closely, I have seen well-founded links to abnormal psychology, perhaps of the paranoid-schizophrenic type, in the thought patterns and behavior of the gunman in Saturday's horrific shooting.

I have seen no evidence linking the murderer to "prejudice," "vitriol," or "bigotry" enamating from political and opinion leaders of any stripe, in Arizona or anyplace else.

Your comments appear to be entirely unfounded. Your insistence on the repeating this spurious linkage, even without evidence, shows rash judgment especially inappropriate in a law enforcement officer.

People all across America cherish their right to strongly disagree with Presidential administrations and their politicians, by means of peaceful protest, strong words and peaceful assembly.

Sheriff Dupnik has failed to consider the rights and privileges of free Americans, calling instead for silencing their voices and views. He has erroneously and irresponsibly connected a heinous murderer with me and my political party without the slightest shred of proof or foundation in reality.

Therefore, Sherriff Dupnik should be relieved of his duties forthwith because he has failed to protect and honor the rights of ALL Americans, not just those of his own political party. Such conduct is unacceptable and unbecoming an officer of the law.

Although I don’t live in his district, his actions and unfounded accusations have damaged me personally by attacking my rights to free speech simply because my principles do not agree with his. Until such time as he can demonstrate the ability to serve and protect ALL people who come under his realm of influence, he should step down.
