She doesn’t need any money to fight it if she goes to the state child support office. I also don’t know if it matters if he has a job or lives in the same state.. She could call them and get information for when (if ) he ever gets a job in the future.

If he thinks he has a right to take the child as a deduction without ever providing child support for that child is ridiculous. Why isn’t she using the deduction since she is providing for the child?

What state does she live in and I’ll see if I can find a number (if you want me to).

Michigan and he’s in wisconsin. She’s already going to take her son as a deduction. That’s my understanding, she’s just worried about getting her refund in a timely fashion. Financially she’s really struggling. She has a full time job, she’s always worked. She makes decent money, but, with 2 kids and a house payment (which is relatively small) and everything that goes with that, she struggles.
